2020 STI seat height lowering?

Former OG era 03/06/09/11 STi owner. I just got a new 2020 STI and noticed the seats are MUCH higher than my former STi's.

The seat is lowered as far as it can go yet I feel like my head is rubbing on the roof and Im only 5/10.

Does anyone maker a seat lowering bracket for STOCK seats? These are by far the highest at the lowest setting stock seats I have ever had.

I felt exactly the same with my 2018 STI. Its unacceptably high, in my opinion, so I swapped in an aftermarket Recaro seat. Not a cheap fix, but worth considering.

I totally agree that is too high in the lowest position.

Try to mount the seat to an aftermarket base?

Nice to know I’m not the only normal height guy with this problem. Do you have the standard seats or the Recaro package out of curiosity?

i know HKS made a seat lowering bracket for the GD not sure about the new STI tho..

Did they? I feel my GD seat is kinda tall too.... I'll have to search them up!

I googled down, looks like they most certainly did, but may need mods to work with USDM seats as per this thread:

Looks like JapanParts still sells them at $200+, and then you gotta add freight from Japan.... all to drop 15mm for the GD... too rich for my blood.

Do you have a sunroof? My son has a 2020 STi base with no sunroof and I've driven it for maybe 100 miles. I actually raise the seat. I'm 5' 9". My son's about 5' 10" and hasn't complained. If you have a sunroof, that takes an inch or even 2 away from your head.
