Default Timing belt "Supercharger" noise
Just did a full re-seal (headgaskets etc.) On my 2010 Impreza 2.5i. Timing belt, water pump, and pulleys were changed with Gates TCKWP304A kit. I now have what sounds like a twin scroll supercharger noise only on cold start and only for a few minutes. If I blip the throttle quickly I can also hear it. A friend of mine that has rebuilt multiple WRX's told me this is common with the gates kits and the belt essentially needs to "break in". His made the same noise for about 5000 miles before going away. I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this. I've seen a few others mention it on here.
