If TiC are using them why not give Clint a shout? Probably easier than waiting for someone to pop online and see this thread.

I hear you. I'm not exactly sure who that is, kinda new to the NASIOC scene. I just figured in the built motor section out of the thousands of eyes that cross through every day a few people are running and have a personal experience with the rods.

Turn in concepts. http://turninconcepts.com/

They're a vendor here and have lots of great info. They also have a successful race program.

*edit* not sure if you were asking who Clint is or tic. Clint is one of the co-founders of tic. They have a Facebook page they update regularly, can email them, or pm their vendor account. Not sure what their preferred means of communication is.

--------------------

(I'm in no way associated with them). Also I don't want to come off as fanboyish there is plenty of smart guys lurking here and some great builders (mps, 3mi, element, asf, etc etc etc)

The most accurate HP for the rods I listed below as when they rated the rods on the site they have all of the different engines with the same rating and we both know that every application is different.

BC6608 –we have these in 1000HP (at the crank) engines
BC6607 –these can be used in the 1000HP engines as well
BC6606 –this is the best rod as we have these in 1200HP engines (GST ran these in the time attack car that one the championship and they were making 1200+ all season)

Thank you,

Dustin Spencer
To note: the GST car has run a 10.001 @148 or something like that in full time attack trend. If you don't understand how running 18's, big brakes, springs in the 12-14k rate range, and massive aero drag...well it slows you down

Understandable, but that car isn't making more then 700whp on a GTX35r. It is probably SUPER light

Ok Junior, we get it, you're not getting sold on the BC rods...

So while we're on the topic, aside from the Carillo pro H beams ($$$)

Pauter X or Crower I? Was looking to save as much weight as possible in the rod dept. coming from turbo tuffs.

700-800whp on a Mustang dyno. Drag car. Lots of anti-lag and hard launches.

According to the BC rep they should be fine but of course they are going to stand behind their product. I just want some unbiased input from some "real" users on here because I won't be buying rods for another month or so and it helps pass the time to discuss with other enthusiasts. Junior said he didn't have good experiences but not in "the last year". They have changed quite a bit.

The Carillo Pro H beams look AWESOME and are light but also over a grand. It's a possibility but for half the cost if BC makes a robust product...

I bought BC I-beams and I will be running them in my build. I have no complaints, great looking rods, great price, and great customer service from Dustin at BC......BUT my power goal is nowhere near what you stated above ^^^. For god sake buy the best rods you can if you plan to make that kind of power. Whats an extra grand at that point, really.

just my .02

I hear what you are saying but here's my stance. If BC offers a suitable product for 1200hp and a fair price, there is no reason for me to NOT run their rod. I would be happy to be able to backup a relatively new company by making 9 second passes with their rods. Since this car is my personal vehicle I sometimes want to get experimental with parts rather than just going straight for the status quo, top-dollar parts. I understand you get what you pay for and 800whp is no joke, but I'm sure most of you know what I mean.

I've used the BC I beam at 250hp per rod and 11k. No issues what so ever. If you want to buy the very best buy Carrillo, if you want to save about half the money use the BC or Manley I beam.

Thanks

Dustin and I have been chatting. He has been very straight up, and apologizing for the old mistakes. His confidence in that I will be happy with them and making things right with me are leading me to try out a set of the rods in my spare race motor this season.

I will be pushing them hard lol
