Sounds like a plan, let me know if you're ever around!!

Excellent! You pretty much sold me on the PW TMIC. Also I have been going back and forth with the alcantara. With you living in the northeast like me, is it hard to keep the fabric clean? What do you use to clean it?

The Alcantara has been great, I though it would be tough to keep clean but it only gets lint on it every once in a while...
I use a lint roller about once a week, that it. I never open my windows which helps a lot but we'll see the true test when I finish the dash soon

Cool man keep us updated! I'd love to drive with the windows up all the time but thought it would be a good idea to tint 15% all around in a state where you can't tint the front windows at all

Looks great Robb, I love the new thread too!
I'm slowly getting there with the interior, I'm learning how to do most of it without the stitching so I've been guided by Alex at JPM with some new ideas here and there but will be pulling the trigger soon to tackle the dash finally.

I can always fabric dye it but I would love to have the OEM black one. I'll keep looking but when I do, it's light grey to black conversion time!!

Any progress on this? Since the first time I sat in my car all I've wanted to do is get rid of the tan headliner. It absolutely kills me when a car has an black interior and the top half of it is tan. It makes no sense at all. I actually painted the interior of my Jeep Black with Dupli-Color Vinyl and fabric, but I didnt have the sunroof in there like i do in the WRX. Any ideas how we could make it work with the problem of the sunroof? The other issue I feel I will run into is the fact I have the sedan.

Thanks,

Ryan

EDIT:

Spent literally the entire day at work on this thread and saw your updates. It looks sick with the alcantara wrapped pillars and everything.

Let me say I am very disappointed that the local tint place did not want to put my iag tail covers on and is it really that difficult should I just pull the lights and do it myself can I use a blow dryer instead of a heat gun?

Buy oracal 8300 in bulk and do it yourself. I don't understand why anyone pays for pre-cut overlays when it only makes the installation more difficult. Its not that hard and you'll have plenty of material to figure it out going the bulk route.

Hey Ryan,

Nice to here from you again, hope you've been well
I'm slowly working on the interior as I go along. I had to move out of the house I was in for a couple years because the landlord sold it so I lost my momentum. I still never found the black trim piece around the sunroof but I did find all the other black OEM headliner pieces.
The center console is my favorite part so far, it's holding up really well and looks really sophisticated IMO.

The dash is the next project before the headliner. I really want to wrap it soon!

Thanks for hanging out on my thread, I promise to keep it going for ya!

That's a bummer that they wouldn't do it for you but it's understandable. They are tough to do if you get the pre-cut kit but I was able to do it myself with a lot of time and patience. If I had to charge for the time and aggravation of doing them for somebody it would have probably been too expensive for someone to afford so I can see why some places wouldn't do them.

Like WRXinpa said, if you can get some of the Oracal stuff that would be the way to go. If you bought the IAG kit already, give it a shot. You can do it with a hair dryer, no problem
