04 sti ecu help
I'm basically trying to help my father fix a 04 STI that he is trying to sell. He had to basically repo it from my brother who had done the following mods:
Mods: -Element / Hydra standalone with o2 sensor -Walbro 255 fuel Pump -Perrin 816cc Injectors -Perrin dp -Espelir JGT500 Exhaust -Bigger tmic from TurboXs -K&N Typhoon air intake -Kartboy ss and bushings -Pink Springs -Group N hardend strut mounts -Modded hid upgrade -Ings Front bumper -Jdm rear bumper skirts -Advan wheels ( some of those have no bearing on this topic but I just copied and pasted the list) So basically long story short the Hydra has completely malfunctioned, which Hydra tested and confirmed. The car is currently in Nashville at a shop that is helping to get it back on the road. So there are a couple options they recommended to him and I was hoping to get some input. First option would be get a new discounted Hydra from the company, which is still pretty pricey. Second, they said he could buy stock injectors and use the stock ecu(which we still have). Third, I was wondering if any companies can flash the stock ecu to run okay with the mods that have been done to the car. I did that with a s13 I had which worked out well, I'm just not really familiar with Subaru. Basically the goal is to get the car running reliably, and as cheaply as possible so he can sell it. I would seriously appreciate any help with this, as would my dad.

Perrin makes/made injectors? Anyways, yes, you should be able to get the factory ECU tuned for those mods. Call a tuner and set up an appointment.

Yes you can reflash the stock ECU. The cheapest way is Opensource tuning.

Replace the oem ecu and do an e-tune for the mods using open source.
Does that year have the immobilizer? |

Anyways, not to be a broken record, but a link to a site for tuning would be great. Trying to get this beast fixed and on the market ASAP. Which I'll probably list on here to help my dad out. The car only has like 65k miles on it |

I'd really like the full story on this.
Dad buys car for son, who cannot get loan. Son agrees to pay Dad back with regular payments. Son puts all his available money into mods. Son has no money left to pay Dad back for car. Dad has to 'repo' the car and is now stuck trying to sell it. Yeah, sounds about right. |

I'm not finding much advertising in the e-tune market but IIRC, Phatron and Phil from Element tuning do e-tunes, might check them out.

Well no luck with finding someone to etune it so far. If I were to put stock injectors back in and plug in the stock factory ecu, would the car run correctly?
