Default Looking for a shop in DC area

I'm looking for a good repair place for my '97 Outback. I need to get my A/C serviced (I tried the self fill bottles but the a/c just leaked out as the cold air didn't last long).

I've been to Farrish before, that was fine but they are a little far out from DC (i live in the city). My shop in DC went from competent to brain-dead overnight.

would prefer something near metro.

I'm getting my A/C serviced at Andrewtech on Friday. They will shuttle people to Shady Grove. Probably not any closer than Farrish.

If you want to stick to a dealer, I'd try MKTOPSIDE (Mike), service manager at Don Beyer. They shuttle to metro (Huntington I think).

I mean the vendor classifieds has all these shops:

AndrewTech, DPS, Mach V I think would be the best closest shops.

DPS is basically at the Shady Grove metro

so is AndrewTech

Not sure how metro available Mach V is.

Andrewtech / Shady Grove is your best bet IMHO. They are my favorite shop in the area

In a pinch, you can try Beyer Subaru as well. They shuttle you to and from the metro in a fancy Volvo limo IIRC. They worked on my car, even with the mods and I never had any issues.

I stick to Curry's Automotive which has a location in Falls Church on route 7. It is a short 15 minute walk from West Falls Church metro or I believe they will shuttle you if you ask. Excellent service, pricing has been right.

They just opened a South Arlington location, but it's not metro accessible.

We'd be happy to take a look at it and shuttle you to the Metro if you'd like.

+1! I'm sure most shops would try and accomodate transportation such as Metro pickup/dropoff...but at least I know that Andrewtech does. Plus they are good, fun people that do excellent work.

Last time I was there...the porter told me that the limo was off of regular shuttle duty because of mounting maintenance costs.

I had to suffer in an XC90

Andrew has shuttled me in his RHD legacy wagon, STI, and the late great Edwin's Legacy Turbo (when it had only a downpipe, as in no piping beyond the downpipe, and an EWG)

Hahaha, we still have the volvo limo, but we don't use it as much as we used to. It has close to 300k on it........that is 300k of driving back and forth between the dealership, and the Huntington metro. It's like like 3 engines, and probably twice as many transmissions. Currently we are using a KIA minivan with some ugly as piss full body sticker scheme. The limo is also close to undrivable in even the smallest amount of rain. They were going to have another fleet of them made (5 dealerships) but is was $$$$$$$$$

+1 for Mike (cause he's cool, even if his office with the broken A/C is not)
