Subaru launches www.rally.Subaru.com
Just got this in my e-mail:
CHERRY HILL, N.J., May 10, 2001 -- Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA), a pioneer of crossover vehicles designed for the active lifestyle, has launched www.Rally.Subaru.Com. The new portal web site provides rally enthusiasts with the latest news and updates from Subaru Rally Team USA for the 2001 SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) ProRally season. The site was developed by BZ Productions. In addition to real-time race results and performance specifications on the 2002 Impreza WRX Rally Team USA rally car, racing enthusiasts can view images from the 2001 SCCA ProRally racing season, read team member bios, get a detailed overview of SCCA ProRally race venues, or send email to the team. Subaru Rally Team USA has scored back-to-back victories in the last two rounds of the SCCA ProRally championship, finishing first in the Open class, first place overall and first in Group N.

I'm confused, Are one of the cars a regular WRX done up for production GT, and the other car a Prodrive prepped open class car? The prodrive one looks just like a WR Car.

Theres a couple of things that really show that is a PGT a.k.a. Group-N car.
The first is no FMIC. If it was open they would have an FMIC because its more efficient. And seconed, the track would be wider. And not the narrowed stock setup. Compare a Group-N EVO-VI with a Group-A EVO-VII look at the track width. BIG difference. There are pleanty of subtle little clues that show weither is a Group-N, Group-A, or WR Car. |
