The formula for air temperature after the turbo on page 9 is incorrect.

The doc states: T.out = [T.in+T.in*(P.out/P.in)^0.263]/Efficiency

It should read: T.out = {T.in+[T.in*(P.out/P.in)^0.263]/Efficiency}-460

-460 is to convert Kelvin back to Fahrenheit

I hope this helps.

I'm glad you guys are looking at it this closely. It might just be a typo but thanks for noticing and I'll look into it.

Default Which kind of tune?

I am ordering an invidia n1 street with a v2 catless downpipe. I am so confused with this whole tuning thing. If i wanted to go the access port route id have to buy the cobb access port for like 600$ and then pay a pro tuner another 500$ to protune it for me. I was reading on efi logics about tuning and they talk about dyno tuning and open source tuning. I have been reading about this stuff for week and am still confused as which is the best route for me to go after i buy my turbo bak. Could someone give me some advice on tuning please? While keeping $ in mind as well

If all you're doing is Stage 2, just get a used AP for like $500.

It all depends on tuning. If you have access to a known, good tuner, go the OpenSource route and have the tuner do the rest. The tuner can help you with this. If you do not have a good tuner, find a used Cobb AccessPort (make sure the seller "unmarries" it from their car), and just use one of the maps that comes with it. You will have better performance and reliability from a good, custom, OpenSource tune.

And, you can always run a mail in tune if you go with an access port.

Not to nit pick, but also notice the subtle change in the position of the efficiency term, only part of the term on the RHS is divided by the efficiency.

Uh, you can't convert from Kelvin to Fahrenheit by subtracting 460...that's Rankine. Kelvin to Fahrenheit you have to multiply by 9/5 before subtracting 460.

This is an amazing write up. I'm a noobie and it's a lot of information to process at once, but even just looking over it once and I feel like I have much better chance at trying opensource tuning.

Great. Now get it installed.

RR should work. I think you just need to point it to the logger.XML. There is also a way to log it using your SD card. Instructions are on here somewhere. Search around and you'll find them.

Is there a printable version of thie tuning guide? My laptop doesnt have internet capabilities (my attempt to keep it virus free. I downloaded everything on my desktop, then transferred it over to my laptop). When I do start messing around with tuning my on my own, it would be a real PITA to have to run back and forth to read the next steps, then run out and make changes and remember what I just read.

Everytime I tried before, it would only print the cover page. I will try on the google docs page.

Edit: It worked. I had to trick the school computer since it wond let us download stuff, but I got it :-). Thanks
