Default Hunter's 09 WRX Hatch

Hey whats goin on guys, so I recently sold my 91 Miata and needed a new daily driver- so I could limit the miles on my 05 project. (In depth thread of my blobeye here: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2857941 )

Just so happens one of my friends was selling his 2009 WRX Premium hatchback for a steal, so I scooped it up as my current 2nd car, and 6th ever Subaru. I will be trying to keep this "build" on the cheaper side, and I will mainly be focusing on upgrades that I can utilize throughout everyday driving. This is my 1st hatchback, and I can't wait to start wrenching on it. So- Lets get into it!

I bought the car with 2 previous owners for $4200. This was of course a good price, but it was missing the catback, side skirts, rear wiper, front grille, and a few other small things. It also came with a base model impreza front bumper, and a check engine light. My friend who previously owned it had also wrapped it in 3m "Black
Rose" which i was not really fond of and it was beginning to peel. I also picked it up on outback wheels with junk tires.

She was not pretty coming in, but I saw the potential for a great daily that I'd enjoy driving. I scooped it with 115k on the body, but the motor was recently replaced. Although my friend had mostly brought it back to stock before selling it to me, my new hatch came with a few goodies:
-2011 ej257 block w/ ej255 heads chamber matched
-Perrin Lightweight Crank Pulley
-Perrin Turbo Inlet
-ISC Lower Control Arms
-ACT Stage 2 Clutch
-New VF52

First things first, I peeled off the wrap to find a (mostly) gorgeous white paint underneath. Paint was mostly in good shape, but I found both the front and rear bumper were bare, black ABS plastic. I decided I couldn't deal with the horrendous 2.5i front bumper, so I picked up a front bumper and grille off an 08 WRX for $50. Bumper was silver, but came in good condition with the fog lights. (Total $4250)

The wheels it came on were pretty rough, and the tires were even worse. I found deal on a set of wheels for sale locally, and snagged them before they were gone.
-Avid AV30 18x9.5+30, new still in boxes for $400
-225/40/18 Cheap All Seasons for $220
(Total $4870)

As I mentioned before it needed a catback, so I found a local selling a single exit Tsudo for $120. I picked it up and began searching for some new suspension.
(Total $4990)

This is as far as I've gotten in the week I've owned it, I will post some pictures and try to keep the current set up as updated as possible!
