Default Eagle Cars Spokane Wa

Hey, I've recently found a dealership in Spokane Valley called EAGLE CARS NORTHWEST IMPORT SPECIALISTS. They have a lot of Subarus and the prices are very reasonable for a dealership. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? The good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks Owen

I'd avoid them if possible.

This summer I was hunting for a low mileage bugeye. Made a post on craigslist about my search. Then I got a reply from Eagle cars about how they had a super low mileage (53k!) automatic wrb bugeye wagon coming in, they gave me a price quote and told me it'd be in next week. It took something like a month for the car to get into town, then another 2 weeks for the car to be "ready" to show me. Which is fine. I understand it takes time for a car to be shipped + made ready for sale. But they kept promising me when I'd be able to come see it, the time would come and pass, and then they'd set another date, etc etc and it was just annoying.

Then the car was finally ready.... and I thought it seemed great, mainly because I'd never driven a WRX before and I'd wanted one my whole life, and I'd been waiting almost 2 months for this one to arrive. I was blinded by car lust. Odometer said 53k, so I thought everything was golden. They had an autocheck history for the car that supported the claim the car had 53k miles. So I called up my credit union to finalize the loan. I had to wait till the next day to do the actual signing before I could bring the check over and take the car home. The next day the credit union calls me and says the loan officer wants to run a carfax on the car just to be safe before allowing me to sign on the loan, because the mileage seems too good to be true and they just want to do their due diligence. Thank god for that, because when they ran the carfax it ended up showing the car was supposed to have 253k miles, not 53k miles like the odometer and autocheck had said, with PAGES of service records to prove it. Someone along the line (im assuming before Eagle got it at auction) falsified the autocheck records + odometer. The credit union called me back and told me all this and that they wouldn't authorize the loan because of it.

If it weren't for the Credit Union doing a carfax at the last second, I would have been stuck with a 250k+ mileage bugeye that was on its last legs, rather than the low mileage unicorn I thought I was getting and was paying a premium for. I called Eagle immediately to ask WTF was going on, and they said they had no idea the car had such high mileage and that they were incredibly sorry and wanted to try to help me find another car to make up for the mistake. I ended up going with a different dealer, for obvious reasons. At best, they could've had no idea at all until I found out about it, and all this could've been avoided had they run a carfax on the car. At worst, they could have known the whole time and tried to pull a fast one on me.

I later heard that Eagle tried to take the car to one of the Auction houses and tried to pass it off as if it were a 53k mileage car.... again. Even after learning about the cars actual mileage from me and my credit union. That is the part I can't forgive them for and why I suggest to avoid them.


That said, Nick and his Uncle (forgot his name) that run Eagle are really nice guys and I've heard of other local people who have gotten wrxs from them and had no problem. So if you end up giving them a shot despite my story, just make sure you get the car inspected by a 3rd party and that you do your due diligence researching the car itself to make sure you're getting a good car.

Hey guys! Just saw this and wanted to share that I was suggested to Eagle Cars from a friend who's family had bought 2 Subaru's from Eagle Cars and ranted and raved about how nice the cars were they bought and what a nice experience it was working with Randy.

I bought a 02 WRX Sedan from them a few months ago and had a great experience and I love my car. All of their cars were stored indoors and they seem to focus on only non-modded AWD cars, which is cool~

What sold me was their "sold" link on their site (pun totally intended) with all the nice non-modded (what I was looking for) subarus

Sorry to be the dick here, but this is literally your only post in this forum. I would take your review with a grain of salt considering you're pushing this dealer and pushing the link.

If a dealer has to list a "sold" page--they are not worth it...just like real estate sites do....to brag.........about how they aren't selling enough at rip-off prices and/or conditions.

Everything else reads like he knows what he is doing: a sales pitch.

Seems like the level of repairs they claim to put into their vehicles is more than what low mileage vehicles require.
