I've been pricing this swap. At the current prices of everything (which have been steadily increasing): Are these worth it over the 4 pot subaru fronts? The Cadi brake swap would run 690 for everything if I bought them right now, and buying a full kit from FastWRX or similar runs 800 bucks. With the price being so close, I'm wondering which are actually the better performing brake calipers.

It's been over a year since doing the Cadillac Brembo Swap on my car. Today I decided to change the pads out and review my impressions of the kit so far.

Unlikely. 17x9 +35 RPF1s need a 3-5mm spacer to fit STI Brembos, so you're better looking at other wheel designs that accommodate BBKs.

I'm hoping for better pedal feel and heat handling from this kit for light track duty and that I can fit it with my stock 17s. I'll report back after I finish install and get some miles on it
Hey, curious as to how it worked out? thinking about buying them for my WRX.

Default New Adapter Kit Supplier

I read through this entire post then did a little searching on the interwebs. I found these guys at bwc fabrications. http://www.bwcfabrications.com/ They sell a kit that comes with M12 bushings that you swap for the M14 ones on the ATS calipers. That way you don't have to drill and tap you knuckles. If I end up doing this swap I would most likely get the kit from these guys.

I have that kit.

I'll update this thread when I get around to installing everything.

i know the car is brand new, but does anyone make dual drilled (5x100/5x114.3) replacement rotors for the 2018 sti? since these brackets adapt 12.6" ats calipers to 326mm 2004-2017 sti rotors, perhaps 13.6" 2014+ cts/2016+ camaro calipers can be used with 340mm 2018 sti rotors? while you won't get the benefit of six piston calipers, you should enjoy greater braking capacity with the bigger 'heatsinks' of the 2018 sti discs without spending ~$4k for the full sti setup.

No one makes any 2018 sti rotors yet much less dual drilled ones.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but will any 2013~2015 ATS front caliper work? Looking on eBay at low mileage takeoffs, some advertise as JE5 or J55. I'm assuming any 2013~2015 ATS model will work as long as its not a ATS-V?

JE5 brakes are not Brembos, which should be pretty obvious from pictures. The JE5 calipers are dual-piston sliders and work with 300mm rotors.

Anyone having any luck sourcing pads? I'm wondering if the pads are the same as other pads on other OEM Brembos. I'm having a hard time finding what I want with ATS as an option... Example: if these are the same as Evo or STI, etc. Much easier to find pads for with the vendors I like to use.

The ATS uses the same pads as the STI does in front.

Yes, they are still the same pads as used by the STI, 1st gen CTS-V, 350/370Z, G35/G37, EVO, R-type Jags, SRT8s, etc etc.

Im hearing in other research that gen 5 camaros or 2010+ use an identical brake caliper except for size of bolt used to mount. Ill be buying a set soon to compare since im installing them on my 69 camaro next.

The pad overhang is a deal breaker I wish they would change the bracket for better fitment.
