Haven't heard a Nikon vs. Canon "argument" in a while. And I love my attention grabbing telephoto. Mine is gray though

Lol. I actually thought of you when I wrote that. I think you are actually the only one that shoots Sony in here. Not a bad thing obviously.

Let me start then.

Nikon lenses are better than Canon. The autofocus is much faster than Canon.

No need for an argument. Both are great systems, I work side by side with Nikon photographers on a regular basis. Use what's comfortable for you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Or use what your friends have so you can borrow their gear.

A wedding photographer I worked with shot with a D800 and a 5D3 at the same time.

Haha, yeah, possibly. But, I make the most of what I have. I'm limited more by my knowledge and creativity than I am by my technology.

Sony does make a good camera, they just so seldom cross people's minds on the same level as canon and Nikon.

You're absolutely right. It's all a matter of personal preference.

so then why do you only see a sea of white at any high-speed professional sports event where fast and sharp AF is king, followed by low-light performance (obv related to body).

Study his image before u go suggesting lower iso than 100. Assuming thats native for canon, my nikons native iso is 200 and have zero issues with grain. The problem is u are shooting mid day with horrible contrast lighting and you are over doing it with processing trying to recover detail in the shadow. Take ANY dark image and lighten it... Grain will be there.

I suggest shooting in a better lighting situation and expose correctly. U will see noticebly less grain. More so, if ur shooting high iso, force it to slightly overexpose, trust me you will notice less. Its all dependant on the light present, but mid day contrasty lighting isnt helping you.

The car is also for sale. I'm not sure how much he wants for it though. I'll ask him if he has an account on here.

Honestly the only reason I went with Canon is because it was on sale and $150 cheaper than Nikon's comparable entry level DSLR. It was supposed to be a Christmas present for me and my wife to take pictures of the kids but the hobby has grown into a monster. I have no regrets so far and will keep improving with what I have.

Here's few shots I took of my former car... sold it about 2 months ago. I'm glad I took the time to do some shots last fall with the cobra flashes I bought few months ago.

This was my very first (and only) experience shooting a car with external flashes. I like the outcome for a first time.

Let me know what you guys think.

Note to self: Don't have an opinion.

I was speaking in general terms, not pointing someone out. Probably should've worded myself better. I think, let me reiterate, think, that simple, minimal typefaces work better. Do I think everyone should have their name in Helvetica or Verdana? Of course not. Just my personal style.

Here's mine, white background isn't there in .psd. Sure, some people will think it's simple or bland, but I think it gets right to the point. Sorry for the image size, don't really know how to work photobucket.

I like the logo. I'm currently looking around for someone to make me a clean looking watermark. I think people's logos should represent themselves and their work so obviously not everyone is going to like it but like you said, I think it came out wrong on your end.

For anyone interested, I'm selling my D5100 with the stock lens since I haven't used it since I got my D600. I also have the DX-format Nikkor 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G (Used no more than 10 times.) Shoot me offers via PM.
