Default Summit Point Kart MAIC Challenge - Saturday, September 29th

What: Karting at Summit Point Kart. http://www.summitpointkart.com/
When: Saturday, September 29th - 12PM to 8PM
Who: MAICers, And anyone else they want to bring
How: Show up. Pay $$. Kart.
Why: Because it's a friggin blast. Those of you that have been, know how much fun it is. Those that haven't been, you need to go.

Now, for some details. If we get enough interest, we can do a GP race. Otherwise we can just do arrive and drive. The good thing about the GP is that you actually race each other for position. I recenty did a GP4 and it was a friggin blast. We need at least 8 people to do a GP.
Arrive and drive is strictly against the clock. If we do Arrive and Drive, each race is $25, but the best deal is KTP for $120. This basically gives you as many races as you can stand between 12-8.
Whatever we do, those that just want to do 1 or 2 races can do that. Those that want to do KTP can do that. Those that do the GP can do that too. Even if you don't want to kart. Come out and hang out. I'll be bringing my canopy, chairs, and cooler full of drinks and snacks.

Pricing for GP:

Quote:
GP3 8-15 people = $75, 16-24 people = $67, 25+ people $60
GP4 8-15 people = $100, 16-24 people = $90, 25+ people $80
GP5 8-15 people = $125, 16-24 people = $112, 25+ people $100
Post if you're in. Add how many people coming with you, and what you'd prefer to do. I'll start...

1. mav1c (Tim) - GP4
2. AJ711 (AJ) - KTYU
3. Jard - KTYU
4. KoldKermit - ?
5. EVL RS-T - ?
...

If Saturday the 29th is better, we can do that. Just say which day is better for you.

Are the gp prices per person? So it could be 100+ $120 for ktp? Or 100 split amongst all of the participants?

I'm up for beating you again and a race would be fun.

Either day works for me. The weekend is wide open for me. I'll do either GP4 or KTYP as well. I'd prefer KTYP as I would probably get there right at opening and then stay as long as my arms/hands allowed me to.

It should be noted that KTYP requires a $40 membership fee. If you're already a member, you are good to go. Otherwise, you have to pay for the membership at the same time as the KTYP.

Also if someone comes and signs up for a membership then a member can get a decent discount.

I should be good for Saturday but at $100 for a race I'm not sure I can pony up for that. Ktp is for sure though.

Remember. $100 for 4 races. Practice, quali, race 1 (grid from quali), and race 2 (inverted grid from race 1).

Maybe this will help inspire:

They have league races on Sundays. This means every other session is league from 2pm to 6pm. You'll get more karting on Saturday.

I'll be there both days.

They open at noon. And it's looking like Saturday the 29th is more likely.

I'd be up for it, especially if Jard, AJ, and Dan go. I've been meaning to run SPK since I'm always up there, but spend all my karting time at Allsports.

EDIT: KTYP

Bummer.

Anyone else? Surprised at the lack of participation.

What's the problem? Cost? Distance?
