Default If spun rod bearing happaned..will the knock sound increase when rev the engine up?

If spun rod bearing happaned..will the knock sound increase when rev the engine up? Coz' someone indicates me that the knock sound will gone when rev the engine up but will come back at low rpm.....is it true??

well it depends how bad u spun the bearing, when i spun mine it was there when cruising or at idle, then 1 minute later it was everywhere and it went with the revs

I think it may matter how bad it is gone. My motor spun a bearing and at first it was just a slight rattle i thought it was the heat shields on the up pipe or headers. It only did it once it was warmed up and between 1500 and 2500 rpms at idle or any higher nothing.

I made an appointment to get it checked out cause nothing seemed loose.It then changed to where it was totally rpm dependent so I stopped driving it. On way to the dealership it completely died it sounded like gnomes where in my engine trying to hammer their way out.

Yeah, its RPM dependant when it starts getting worse.. As rpm's go up, the knocking will speed up too.. You spun a rod bearing my friend, time to build your motor..
