Lower HP, Lower torque,...
Accord 252hp, Legacy 260hp
Accord 273 lb/ft, Legacy 277 lb/ft
the accord will be faster and not by a small amount.

You're probably right. Subaru has been doing less with more for decades now.

Dunno about any embargo. The dealers even got to drive them last week at the big meeting. Got to drag race the LXT against a KIA Optima turbo and a Mazda 6 turbo. "Dusted them both".

Training is at the Texas Motor Speedway. I can't wait to get back on a track for training. Last time was for the 2012 Impreza.

2012 Impreza on a TRACK?

Mazda is rapidly stepping up their game. Subaru needs a revolution, not just an evolution.

Mazda is surely stepping up their game. That Impreza on the track handled far better than the Mazda 3 that we also drove. And the 6 a couple years earlier actually scared me with how bad it's steering was. I do hope we get competitor vehicles with this training.

So I need to change it from 277 lb/ft to 277 lb-ft to make it correct.
Got it.

It's interesting that they still offer a manual transmission in this day and age. I wonder what the take rates are compared to the 10-speed auto.

10-speed auto = they're just trying to mimic a CVT
And Subaru's CVT is trying to mimic an 8-speed auto

hey justy, we need a proper assessment of the 0-60. having the manual is not priority. the new STI will possibly give us that. is it a viable alternative to the wrx cvt in the case of acceleration and cost. also how fast is the new onyx xt and is there a proper full size spare. no other questions from me. other than I hope they allow you to throw the hammer down in that either the legacy or outback xt

Accord is just *significantly* lighter than Legacy.
There's a huge 300 lbs curb weight difference between the 2 cars in their respective top trims for MY2019.
Frankly, I don't expect MY2020 Legacy XT to really close that curb weight gap.
That being said, I'm guessing MY2020 LXT is nearly a full second faster to 60 compared to MY2019 3.6R and that'd be very nice.

LOL ! I'm (wishfully) thinking the most recent iteration of the HTCVT launches a bit harder than whatever is used in the outgoing Leggy/OB 3.6R. We'll know soon enough.

Is it an actual full size spare or just a full diameter temp spare?

I no care about spares. I always delete them to make room for jumper cables, first aid kits, gloves, jackets, tools, etc.

Probably because they're not full-size and therefore useless is why I abhor spares.

Can you stare directly into the headlights and let us know if they're more or less blinding than the outgoing model?

The Honda manual I'm sure is really smooth too, same with the handling.
I've always enjoyed the steering feel of Hondas. My 2nd car ever was a Honda Accord coupe. Very enjoyable car at that time. The problem with Honda's is the paint. Granted I grew up in Miami, maybe it has to do with the sun down there. But I swear everyone else I knew with a Honda had the same problem.

Everyone complains about automotive paint. It's all watercolor. I'm waiting for oil paint encased in wax coating.

Food coloring you may or may not want to put in food. Except those red white and blue freedom cupcakes chain grocers sell on the 4th.
