Default Good engine shop

He all. I have a 2016 sti that I think has ringland failure. Compression test on a cold engine ranged from 50 to 105 psi. It started smoking quite a bit while driving, a big puff of smoke on start up and oil consumption was almost a quart about every week and I had a bunch of oil in tve turbo outlet and in tve intercooler. I stopped driving it after it started smoking during driving and after the compression test. I reached out to flat four and the response was slim to none so I then reached out to Horsepower Techs and was on the schedule to have it towed in today until they realized they canít look at it for another month. Iíd prefer to get work started pretty soon here but not sure where else to take my car to. Has anyone had any luck at any other local (to the Detroit area) shops for engine builds/swaps?

So I met Adam today after many days of texts and calls. Got a build list generated and got an engine from P2P on order, next week order parts and hopefully week after starting work on the car. Adam is really knowledgeable and will NOT point you in the wrong dire. Iíve had plenty of suggestions and heíll explain the good and the bad. I went from a build that put me back to where I was before problems to a goal of 450hp. Thank you Darryl. I mentioned you today and he had nothing but great things to say about you. Hopefully he gets you a beer after your referral!!!!!

Something to consider for common, serious EJ issues:
https://elementtuning.com/competition-engines/

$4100 gets a fully installed set of robust internals. The shop is near DC, so distant customers would require shipping and pick up logistics costs.

"Element Club: $3250 (Installed $4100): Recommended for Turbochargers 300 whp up to 500 whp and up to 7500 RPM. Built to our exacting standards with competition crank and rod bearings, block honed and fitted with Manley forged Pistons and rings, all new OEM gaskets, seals, o-rings, and head gasket, heads are completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, new valve seals are fitted, new cam seals, valves are adjusted (new buckets may be required at $), ARP Head studs are used to our specification, and valve covers are fitted with new gaskets. The engine and cam pulleys are fitted and the engine is timed (new timing belt may be required at $)."
