Intercooler Temperatures post Turboback
I think im just being paranoid, i just need someone with info to confirm.
Back when my car was stock, 10 minutes of hard driving or a trip home from school - about 10 miles would leave my hood and car and IC hot for hours. I installed the turbo back, and obviously the heat retention of the cats is gone, but i barely feel the intercooler becoming warm even after hard driving. is something wrong? is this the intercooler doing its job properly? if this is normal, why do people need an IC sprayer kit? VJ

well the engine compartment is not as hot as it used to be. its not in my head since i noticed this immediately after putting in my turboback last weekend.
obviously without all the heat shields of the dp and stock catback, teh aftermarket components dissipate the heat better. |

Generally speaking, I've found the post turbo temperatures are approximately 10 degrees warmer than the intake temperature under non-boost rolling conditions. Once stopped, heat soak from the under hood temperature occurs rapidly, but cools fairly quick once rolling again.
