Default Let me see your skidplate pics!!

I'm getting a skidplate on Saturday...but I really don't want there to be this shiny plate that's viewable while driving around, as they're not that hard to steal. Can I see some pics of cars with skidplates? I'm trying to determine if I want to paint mine...

And if i do decide to paint it, I should use hi-temp paint, right? Anyone do this?

why would u paint a skid plate?

honestly you cant see it unless you're under the car....

car with a skidplate:

skidplate here too...

but u cant see it unless you do this....

or this... (put it on a lift...)

the purpose of a skid plate is to take hits from debris..
thus, you wouldnt want to paint it, as it will only chip and look like arse...

what skidplate did you get?

Haha, ok. I now officially sound like an idiot. It just seemed like every picture I saw of a skidplate was from under the car...I had never seen one in person or from an actual front view, so I had no idea if it protruded out or down. I see now that I have nothing to worry about.

I'm picking up a rumblesoft/webkris plate from Fitz on Saturday.

Looking at that bottom pic...how do you change the oil filter?
