Talking quick question about sti rims on a rs

would 225/45/17 sti rims fit my stock rs without any problems?

I'm a little confused about your post. You listed a tire size but mentioned "rims." Are you concerned about lug patterns or wheel width and rubbing issues?

There wouldn't be a problem even if you were lowered.

Usually I would say no since you're not changing the position of the car in relation to the wheels (ie lowering springs). In this case though it might be something to consider since you're greatly increasing the size of your contact patch.

Only wheels from an 04 STi would fit your RS. 05-09 STi wheels will not fit.

real helpful here buddy....he asked if they would fit and your retort of "don't do it" had no contribution to this thread. At least give some reasoning as to your post.

OP: yes, and as stated in previous posts, they will fit being that they are from an 04 and rubbing will not be an issue, even on a lowered suspension. Pics of the current state of the car to see how they will look?

Wait...aren't you the same guy that posted up the other day asking how much he should "sell his 04 STi wheels with potenzas" ??

Are you actually looking to buy? Or do you actually own them?

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1707609

If you already owned them, you would know if they fit or not...so im calling you out on this one.

both

the tread pattern is unsuitable for ice/snow and the rubber compound is unsuitable for cold

If you have a lot of self control you can deal with summer tyres in the cold. Snow/Ice is very dangerous. Out where I live I can deal with it and take a snow day off. I don't know about Philly. We do get a lot of rain, but I've never had a problem. Note: WebFoot. As in we get rain.

well i decided to put my wheels on the car but these are summer wheels. it does get pretty cold like in the 20's but snows rarely. i was wondering if i should put it on now or wait till it gets warmer...
if the temp doesnt matter so much, i would install it bucause it rarely snows in philly

Just be careful. White stuff on the ground=parked car. Yes, I have driven the RE070's in the snow. They are BAD. Wait a bit if you have other rubber.
