Default EJ20G wiring

a question for those that have done the EJ20G swap. I have swapped all the main harnesses into my 1995 GM shell. My clip did not however come with the instrument cluster. So i am usung the USDM cluster with the japanese dash harness. The two connectors on either side of the cluster have entirely different pin locations than the american dash harness. Does anyone have access to JDM service manuals or wiring diagrams. Or maybe know any subaru dealers in Japan that might be contacted and willoing to fax a copy from a service manual.

any help would be greatly appreciated

You should just buy a JDM cluster. That will be much easier.

I am a mechanic at a subaru dealership. The parts manager (FastFreddyRS) contacted his dealer rep and told him that we had this car in the shop, so to send over the JDM wriring diagrams.

but in the meantime i called rallispec in NJ and spoke to a very helpfull guy who said he had wiring diagrams for a 1994 WRX and offered to fax them to me. so hopefully they will be at work tommorow!

so either way i hope to have this problem fixed soon. since i have been tracing back the inputs and outputs from the cluster plugs.

although i would still give my left leg for a Japanese service manual for this clip.

If you get the JDM wiring diagrams, please be sure to let us know. There are a couple ECU pins not listed in the UK manuals.

If you decide you need the JDM cluster, I have one from my 95 clip that I am not going to use.

if you are going to use the usdm cluster i would think it easier to use the usdm dash harness as well. I am also very interested in any more ecu pinouts i can get
