Default Need good Subaru mechanic in SW Michigan/NW Indiana/Chicago

Hi all, our 2005 Outback needs the right rear wiring harness replaced (requiring removal of a bunch of interior trim), a door latch replaced, and possibly a replacement on the gas pedal assembly (per another thread). I took her to an unnamed Subaru dealer that wants an absolutely insane amount of cash for the harness/etc. I'm trying to find someone in this area who'd be able to take this on - and who'll charge me fairly. Any suggestions? I'm in extreme SW Michigan - ideally I'd go to South Bend, Kalamazoo, or NW Indiana ... Chicago if it's really necessary.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried negotiating a price what do you feel is a fair price?

When it comes to wires things are always more expensive then you expect.

It's essentially just pulling a prepackaged wire bundle through the interior trim - the parts are about $200, they want close to $2K for the repair - and they're willing to wiggle but not nearly enough. I could handle the electrical part in a snap because essentially it involves plugging some stuff in. It's the trim removal that's time consuming.
