it’s the accelerator pedal assembly. if you get me the VIN or model and trim i can try and find you a part number

it was about a year between repairs. i’m gonna try and see what the part number is for you

the part number for the accelerator pedal is 36010AG021

you should be able to order it at your local dealership

It's extremely predictable. It happens when it's freezing cold outside and I turn the heat on.

on all the internets, youre the only other person ive come across with the same problem.

my daily beater is a civic but ive had the same issue for the last couple winters is frustrating to say the least. Drives like a dream in the summer but as soon as it gets cold and heat is on, bam, p2138.

ive changed both the throttle body and pedal assembly to no aval.

problem came back since temp dropped the last few days which got me looking at it again. swapped out the etcs/drive by wire relay and been running with full heat and no issues

im sure you prob got rid of your by now but anyone with this prob should try swapping out your relay with another first before spending money on parts or mechanic.
