Gotta love MD winters, 293,000 miles of salt on 95 have done their toll to the rear quarterpanels.

Here's a little something I've been working on.

I got hit by a drunk driver back in Sep. So while a heal and recover I've been tinkering with a few hotwheels.

My VF40 in my Legacy GT is off for a refresh, so I have my son's "loaner" for a few days

Good opportunity to shake some more bugs out before he turns 16 later this year.

And it's new A/C unit he got for Christmas

They do not. I am also bagged, but we tubbed the rears and did a lot of work to the fronts so that they won’t rub, even when i drive low at full lock.

I love it and it's not even installed yet. Plus, we ripped all of his a/c stuff out since it didn't work anyway so it will come in handy. I think it changes the look of the car immensely, even when closed.

Haha! He's an incredibly hard worker so we don't mind helping him out. It helps that Mom and Dad are Subaru fanatics, though It's a fun family project.

This was a drawing I did back in 2002, complete with the STi lip, LOL! After seeing CircleT's bugeye, he would eventually love the STi Prodrive front bumper, but I agree, it needs something up front for the time being.

So it's been a pretty long ass time. Who needs a livery when you have snow?

PS: New wheels make me happy

Okay, so I made a random mistake (if you want to call it a mistake) and wanted to see if I could make wagon fenders fit on my sedan. Pretty major spacing issues between the front bumper and the quarterpanels, so a different set of sedan fenders is going back on.

However, in the process of trying fitment, I did take a picture that looks pretty damn good.

Hey Shik, I PM'd you but figured I may as well just ask here too, is that a rep wing or an original WRC wing? I'm curious about the quality of the new reps if anyone has checked them out. I'm having trouble deciding between that and the later style WRC wing for my blobeye.

Congrats to your son, that was definitely my dream car in high school. I had countless drawings of it, haha. He's definitely going to enjoy the roof scoop, that was the biggest selling point in me buying my bugeye.

I did this in 2002 also, I would have been in middle school

As I mentioned in the PM(but for others who may be interested), the wing is an "original replica" from waaaaayyyy back in the day. It does have it's cracks, but they are holding steady at the moment, which is a surprise since single digits have been the norm around here for the last 3 weeks. I'm just keeping an eye on them, but am not overly concerned.

If the RPG wing was out when we were looking, I would have went that route for sure. Looks to provide at least a little support .

And yes, we are looking very forward to the roof vent install. Gotta get a lot warmer out though. I'm in the middle of putting my vf40 back on my Legacy and my unheated garage is not doing me any favors . I'm with you...winter sucks hard.

Awesome drawing for a middle-schooler!

No, those are my summer wheels unfortunately. Complete with summer BFG SC2's. I killed my winter tires last year and we hadn't had snow for over 2 years until last week, so I decided to chance it this winter. We had more snow today, and only minimum brown streaks in my pants.

I previously ran these wheels on my blobeye (which has moved to garage queen/mostly autox status), but decided to powdercoat them white and run them. I wanted to capture the look/feel of the 06-07 RA-R adapted to the bugeye. At least that was my goal/inspiration. There's still a ways to go with it though. The idea is to further upgrade the other car, and hand down most of the mods to this one eventually.

This post is sending me on a feel trip for selling my RA-R wheels

That drawing is very close to a picture I found when looking for more info on the STi Rays I have. Also the inspiration for my car:

You'll love the new A/C too. I love using mine when I get the chance!
