I'm still getting over Oderus Gwar was always one of my favorites. But to stay relevant to the thread: for the past few weeks, I've been listening to a ton of The Mars Volta, Lost Sounds, El Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Jay Reatard, and a few others. I play guitar, so anything with really crazy guitar stuff I can usually get into. I'm way into progressive, jazz, and Latin music. I think it's pretty good driving music, cars and guitars go hand in hand.

Feeling contemplative as my departure date draws near***8230;.so many great times and memories up here, so many friends and peak life experiences***8230;.

but man, I'm feeling restless ***8230;.nomads have to roam***8230;and I've been locked down for far too long.

Hope you all take a listen to the words of this great artist***8230;.I've seen him here at the PAC and he returns often.

I was a huge NIN fan when I was in High School. I had all the halos. Up until the Fragile, when I thought they (he) took a departure from the style and sounds I liked about them. Oh well, I still like the old stuff.

This video is funny as hell. I got a kick out of it. Enjoy.

These guys? Is there more than one Trent Reznor? I saw Nin in 1989. IIRC

Been listening to this on the trip down south. Read the book (long ago), bought the album and saw the movie***8230;in that order***8230;.

Not an album I listen to that often***8230;but I thought it would be cool to reminisce about the story while traveling through the country***8230;..The whole Chris McCandless story***8230;been to the bus before it was a big deal***8230;Always thought he was a bit wacked***8230;.but at the same time admired his resolve to go for it.

I gotta say***8230;it really works when passing through the north country.

particularly "Hard Sun"***8230;.and "Society"***8230;.take a listen sometime.

If you're into hip hop (ish) instrumentals, I've got some new additions to my soundcloud page.
