Dangit! I saw we were close but didn't want to be "that guy" with a double post into page king. Unlike some people....
Ran copper from the basement through the kitchen wall and ceiling to the bathroom on the second floor today. And got the basement slop sink drain plumbed yesterday. Picking up copper and the sink and laundry hookups tomorrow. Goal is still to be done with plumbing and wiring by end of next month. |

Your best bet will be in the MWSOC For-Sale forum. It's been pretty quiet in here and few new Purdue folks have found their way here, yet.

Nice work! What is everyone up to these days? I'm still in northern IL, doing supplier quality engineer things but passively looking to relocate and find a new job. |

Updates on my front:
my 2002 wrx needs the cam cover seals replaced, a timing belt, bodywork to combat 16 years of rust on the rear quarter panels, and in general....a nice kick in the balls with an engine refresh. But good news, I'm leaving the "great state of Lincoln" and am moving from Northern IL to Central Wisco. I hate the packers, but I like land and country. And the best part? A 3.5 garage! Never let this thread die. |

Went to the milsap motorsports compound a couple weekends ago. Pulled the engine on the lego and did head gaskets, timing, and oil pan gasket. Hasn't leaked a drop of oil since
congrats on the move! Land is tempting but we're really happy with our house in evanston. Work on it has been going slow but all of the systems will be new once we're done. Can't wait. It's hell, but I'm sure I'll look back on this time and laugh...at the hellishness. |

Closed about a year and a half ago and I've been doing everything myself while working basically on call handyman and plumbing. It's a full gut at this point, once the asbestos ducts came out...about a year ago, ugh... and all the systems were exposed we basically kept expanding and expanding the project list.
And everything takes a lot longer, it's like painting is mostly prep and hardly any paint time once you finally get to it. I had electrical stuff to demo before bath plumbing could start and the one hired job we have someone else doing is electrical, so he started and has been on hold for about 2 months while I dealt with plumbing. Of course the old system had to go completely and rather than using joists that were cut out a good 2/3 of the meat I redesigned it. So before plumbing we did carpentry sistering all the ceiling joists. Then I had a layout that covered a crack in the basement that was leaking, so I had to fill that. And the plumber I work with was in and out of town and I needed his lead supplies to start the main stack in pvc. FINALLY had 2 productive days today and yesterday. Tomorrow all the drains from the basement up to the stack out the attic will be done. Then I have a 1/2 day or so of copper to run and the electrician can get back to work. He estimated a week to finish his part. Then I drywall, tile the bath, put in fixtures, floor guy can varnish the floors, put the kitchen back together, paint, move... I'm almost there lol. |
