They're not bad for adding a little bass to your system, and considering they're an amp+speaker, have a fairly small footprint.

seems pretty cool. I know Infinity makes good stuff. I wonder how much it weighs in comparison with a standard sub/amp/small enclosure setup.

I've got one, if you are looking for attention outside the car, go elsewhere, but if you want balanced low end sound for your music. Its a great inexpensive, light, & compact 200w RMS unit (only has one "active" woofer, the other side "passive radiator" allows for a smaller enclosure cu. in. wise).

Yes, its mounted vertically on the left side of the trunk. I used "T" nuts (Home Depot has them) to mount the feet to a 3/4" MDF base, and 2 part epoxied the base to trunk floor. This way, I can remove it without much of a hassle. 2 years now and still no problems, except the vibration (sympathetic waves?) can be felt in the gas pedal, but it could be the cdt's in the front doors helping that out too (did both at the same time).

Actually a passive radiator doesn't allow for a smaller sized enclosure. It makes up for small boxes with really long ports that wouldn't normally fit in a .5 cu fu enclosure.

I've designed many boxes where port length for a 4" port is sometimes 30+ inches. I've had to go 3" to bring it under 20". But still a PR sometimes is the only way to go. But it's tuning is an art and science, and many free programs can't calculate the the correct PR.

They are ok but definately not trunk rattling. You should only get it if you need a lot of trunk space. I only bought one because I got it for like $170 brand new. All you have to do is search for the cheapest site and get CarDomain.com to price match it. I found some shady and crappy looking site and they gave me 105% of the difference.

Run a 10ga power wire to trunk, run a ground to it. It has built in line level and speaker level inputs, so you can run wires directly to your speaker leads, or to a headunit with RCA's.

So in a nut shell, easy.

^^^yep, and both of those connections (loc & rca) are 4channel taps (front/back, left/right). With my amp, and basslink in back, I still have access to my pass-through, and space for 1 huge suitcase (baby stroller) etc. Still have access to the spare since I cut the left side of the trunk carpet/backing.
good luck
