The numbers are a little low but Jorge said that due to the higher compression in my motor. At one time, he leaned out the car an entire point, added about 6 degrees of timing (I think), added 1.5psi and it barely made any difference. You could consider this a very safe tune as if IIRC, the car is only running like, 12 or 14 degrees of timing? Something along those lines. I'll get the graph up here later today - I need to borrow a scanner. But I've got plenty of vids I actually have this graph of the final 1-4 pull. Like I said, I'll get the 4th gear final pull up later. Any input is greatly appreciated. -Andrew

wow great numbers, i expected a little more power, especially with the STI bottom end.. Maybe the heads are holding u back? im not sure.
My 06STI did 385AWHP and 325TQ at 17.4psi AFR was 11.8 or 11.9 and I was on a stock block, heads, trans.. turbo was as big as my noggin tho lol other then that nice work |

Thank you!
Yea, it's definitely the heads holding me back. I believe my CR is around 9.0 or 9.1:1 and that isn't helping anything. But I do like the off-boost torque alot Definitely helps out when DD around town and such. Overall, I'm happy |

I dont think those heads are really holding you back, at least not at this point.
19 psi is prretty low. That turbo will wake up with more boost. Sounds very nice. |

If you think that torque is nice, make a map for 23-25 psi. You could see very close to 70+ wheel torque added. That would be one fun car to drive around corners!!

Reminds me a LOT of my old setup. I had a built 2.5 hybrid (JDM big port EJ207 heads, built 2.5 bottom end), 8.8:1, Tomei cams/turbo (which is a TD05 20G 8cm2, equal length header, etc., etc., AND a JDM v8 6-speed.
I don't know how much the compression ratio can really be hurting your peak power...mine had fairly high compression and was hitting 365ish whp on pump, with torque to match - @ 22.5-23psi. Had more timing than that though...I can say that the eBay TMIC is probably hurting you though....when I had this same setup on 25.5psi on 100 octane, my Spearco was burning hot to the touch...they heatsoak quickly. |

Nice build, the car looks really good. The exhaust sounds awesome, nearly perfect IMO. I have one question, what is the, "08/09 STI Nitride Crank"?

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
I was going to use the MBC and the GS BCS but we ended up just using the EBCS. Subaru redesigned the cranks in the STI's for 08+. They are nitride treated and IIRC forged. VERY nice cranks for the price I know the ****ty TMIC is probably holding me back some, it was on the car when I bought it, but I just don't have anymore money after building the motor 3 times since February lol A FMIC will definitely be in this car's future, but for now I'm just going to enjoy her I have some more videos I'll post in a little bit of my run to Five Guys this afternoon |
