Default FEAL 441 vs Fortune Auto 510

I am currently looking into getting a new suspension system for my car. Wondering what other people have experienced and what recommendations people have.

Both have good reputations, Feal maybe edged out with better customer service from Odi the owner of Feal Suspension.

But there is more to just picking two random low cost brands. Goals and budget should also be a factor.

Overall a more comfortable ride with still being able to track the car every now and then would be my goal. It is my Daily so the everyday ride would need to be comfortable and not to stiff but then the same time be able to handle taking to the track. I know FEAL starts at just under $1400 and although I know that may be cheap for suspension it's not cheap for my pockets lol. Also looking into Fortune 510 which is around $2200 which is geared to a little more track I was told the daily driving can be a little uncomfortable. I personally haven't been in a car with either. These two brands have been brought to my attention because this is the advice I have got from people so nothing really random. The mechanic shop and a friend who has been around subarus for close to 10 years of modding both rec FEAL but then another good reputable source says Fortune over FEAL because Fortune makes better parts and are better produced.

You can track your car just fine on stock struts, especially if you have one of the newer VA chassis cars.

I doubt you'll really find coilovers that ride better than the stock struts either, particularly at your pricepoint.

I have to disagree with the "better produced" comment.

Feal is assembled in California and includes Swift springs standard and not as an upgrade. Look into the stroke figures for both sets and you with notice Feal has the edge there as well. Lastly, look at the price difference between the 2 kit, $1350 with Swift out the door vs. $2k plus and extra for Swift springs. We have plenty of positive reviews on NASIOC if you care to take a look.

Thank you Mike I chose the FEAL 441 kit. Seeing how as I'm located like 20 minutes from you guys everything is pretty convenient.

Everything is built to order, so they will need to be built either way. We are current waiting on a few parts for your chassis so it will be 1.5-2, weeks maybe sooner.

Actually sent an email to my boss (Odi) this morning about it. We were missing some parts on our last order and I'm trying to get everything resolved as quickly as possible.

What’s up mike. I installed the Coilovers and they are amazing. I changed out the LCA too so it turned the back wheel a very little bit so it’s really hard to tell but off the bat they feel a lot more comfortable to drive on and they don’t have that floaty bounce to this. After getting them aligned and all that Jazz I’m going to adjust the dampening. What do you rec for normal street driving vs. track when you dampen. Side note I did have to raise the rears an 1.5” to be close to stock height. No way they would have fit right out the box. Not sure if they come pre set at the same length but just a note maybe setting them to kinda mimic the stock height with a slight drop vs having to come up an inch and a half. But over all not a big deal either because it’s a quick fix just something to share. After getting them aligned I will definitely get back to you. Thank you for all your help. Oh and the paint on the Coilovers where the bolts go through is a little thick to where the bolt almost didn’t fit in but we got it to work and no threads were damaged so all is well.

Glad to hear you have been enjoying them! We set the damping at 15/30, so it is right in the middle and ready to be changed to suit the drivers needs. Preferences are completely up to you, it really just comes down to how firm you like to ride to be in either situation. I personally prefer firm and leave them set fairly stiff at all time. The ride height is not preset anywhere close to stock, it is set at a nice drop because that's what we have seen most people are looking for.

Let me know what you think after alignment and dialing in the damping to your preferred settings.
