Question Hey Orbiter...can you help?

I was wondering if you could help. I've seen your stereo system setup at one of the Van. meets. It wasn't exactly finished though as you had your back seat still removed. I was wondering how it sounds? It looked like you had used the tire well as part of the speaker enclosure so I'm guessing you used fiberglass too then. I've been reading on the net that that using the tire well as part of the enclosure really makes the car rattle. Does yours? I really need an alternative to what I have and after hearing nothing about free air systems I'm assuming they are junk. I need my trunk space back for my hockey bag and such so any feedback you could give would be great. By the way, I meant that Christina has a better voice than Britney since I can't really judge who is more musical.

I can kind of help with this one since I sorta have the same setup as Orb. Anyway, if you're gonna be thumping/pounding away with some serious subs and power, then the Impreza is gonna rattle no matter what. The solution is to insulate just bout everything there is. Before you seal off the trunk, get your installer to dynamat the trunkbed, the spare tire well, and wherever he can get insulation into. That will help a lot.
