Help needed with Clutch Master Cylinder Install
So I changed the clutch slave cylinder but my pedal is still sinking to the ground so I figure the master is toast as well.
Can anyone who knows how to replace the master clutch cylinder lend me a hand in replacing mine? I have all the tools and the part should be here by Thursday. I also plenty of room where we can work. Willing to take you to dinner/actually pay you/whatever. And yes I know I can take it to Andrewtech but that would be hard to do considering that I can't get the car into gear Thanks!

I have been trying to bleed it for the last two days...I'm using a vacuum pump so I'm pretty sure its being bled correctly.

Whoa dude I bought a sti brake mc awhile back for my brembo package and they sent a clutch mc on accident. I still have it so if your new mc doesn't fix it I will sell you the sti one for cheap.

The trick with master cylinders is BENCH BLEED.
It's easy to see air missing from the res, but in the actual cast cylinder portion (where the pressure is actually created) it's very easy to bubbles to get caught. So, crack the line at the MC a bit and use a rag to catch all the fluid that comes out. Make sure the res does not go below the low line, either. If you do still need help and can offer the same service in return (my clutch is soft lately... Lame!) I'd be glad to lend a hand/tools/foot for pumping pedals. |
