Default 05 wrx Check engine light. Lean with catless up and downpipe

I recently went to a catless up pipe with a catless downpipe and got a check engine light. Its has a lean bank code, I was wondering if the cobb tuner would correct this issue? I have been looking for a used Ap-SUB-001 and want to tune it regardless but will it fix my check engine code?

If you have not replaced the exhaust gaskets for the pipes you disassembled, you should. I had a lean code that was caused from a leaky crossover pipe gasket. Replaced the gaskets and my lean code problem was solved.

Thanks for the reply. I did replace all the gaskets that i had apart and dont notice a leak but ill check to be sure. I figured that after removing both cats the airflow would increase causing the engine to run lean but was hoping somebody might have some information on it.

uhh not really sure you want the cobb to take away the code. you could be overboosting as the catless stuff has a tendency to do. if you are putting on parts you need to compensate for them with a tune. you will end up causing more harm if you dont get the tune

You needed the tune to begin with.
Only the bugeyes can get away without a tune for a downpipe.

What Mulder said.

By changing the UP & DP, you have changed the airflow / fuel mixture the engine sees on the OEM tune. Essentially, more air with the same fuel = LEAN.

You need a tune.
