I think I already know the answer, but wha are your thoughts on getting a comprehensive warranty. It would be $2200 for 5 years/125k on the car. There are 58k on it now.

From everything I’ve read it’s not worth it for new cars, but what about used? Quite a bit of money it seems

Really up to you. I NEVER buy extended warranties. Make sure there is no deductible for each time you use the warranty.

Well, speak of the devil. Picked up the car yesterday morning, decided to take the car into Boston for a game.

Damn electronic parking brake malfunctioned and wouldn’t release. Sat there for 10 minutes on the road trying to get it to release. Finally, it did, but the brake warning light is illuminated now

That's a CVT right? Just park it in Park and don't use EPB.

My Golf-R has EPB and she's a MT, I don't use it either and park in gear. My car was bought new in 2017. There are bunch of cases of EPB going bad leaving people stranded. Mine works fine, but I don't trust it.

Yeah, CVT.

Only reason to look into it now is that is should be covered under the limited warranty since I just bought it yesterday.

Never even occurred to me to test the parking brake during the test drives

Hope it's covered under your warranty. Yeah, I hear ya..we'd assume these things work.
