another happy IAG overlay customer
Trying to decide on an exhaust. Leaning towards just getting an SPT, using the 20% off coupon Subaru sent in the mail ($699 I think) |

As an SPT owner I would advise to buy something else. If you want something that isn't too loud maybe the Q300. The SPT exhaust is not a true 3" catback exhaust. It is actually only 3" from the axleback... the midpipe (between the cat and the axle is smaller than 3"). As well the SPT has very crappy welds and has been knows to have flange issues with our cars (3G). If you do a google search you will find lots of posts about SPT issues. Why don't you drop the good people @ Import Image Racing a line and see what they can do for an exhaust setup for you.... you will be happier with a better product like the Q300. |

I've had good luck with my SPT exhaust. Not sure if it differs from the older STI models, but it sounds great.

I have read that people kind of hate on older SPT exhausts but seems like everyone really likes the SPT on the 2011s. I've also read that there are some tip fitment issues/leaks with the Q300.. Thanks for the input tho. |

^Yep just a little. I backed into my driveway one night, lip of the driveway pushed the flap into my tire and yanked it off. So it's a little handicapped now

Just got a few more mods done: scoopless CarbonByDesign hood and wing, custom gurney flaps (large flap on the pics with the gold wheels and the small flap on gunmetal wheel pics) and custom painted Enkie GTC01 (gold) and PF01 (gunmetal) wheels.

Were you experiencing enough traction loss in the rear to warrant the rear wing addition?

No traction loss experienced before adding the wing. The 09 WRX factory wing was fine. Just a little inspiration from the Crawford STI time attack car. I like the look and plus I'll be tracking the car very soon so I'll have a few more downforce tweaks available. The car is planted right now. |
