^^^ not necessary but like the "wise" say , if you already have the struts apart and upgrading to konis and alignment to follow, might as well . I didnt when I did my inserts, my wagon had 50000 miles on it the top hats look new so,....... its all up to you but if you have the money for some group N top hats why not upgrade everything at the same time.

Koni inserts + RCE wagon specific springs + Whiteline COM-C top hats + Group N rear top hats + kartboy rear subframe lockdown bolts + FHI 20mm rear sway bar.

18x8 rims 225/45/18. Fenders are NOT rolled. NO RUBBING.

Best wagon setup imo. Zero nose dive, incredible response, very conservative and practical drop,
and much more comfortable than initially expected (it's spring rate is much stiffer than an sti!).

It's recommended to do so. The stock top hats cannot compare to the group N stiffness. Go with aftermarket in the front; Whiteline COM-C. It gives you more negative camber and most importantly caster.

I called the Myles at Race comp engineering and he told me for the stiff spring rate (280lb) I needed them.

thanks for the responses. com-c are out of my budget. the group n's seem more reasonable for a DD as well. gonna look into them more.

thanks again.

I'm almost done with my suspension goals finally.

RCE T2 coilovers
RCE lowering camber plates
Group N rear tophats
Whiteline 22mm rear sway bar
Whiteline front strut bar
Kartboy endlinks front and rear
TiC fender braces
04 STI BBS 17x7.5
Pirelli P Zero Rosso 225/45/17

Impressions:
Awesome. Car feels amazing especially coming from worn out OBS suspension. the coil overs are dialed in almost prefect, not too stiff but definitely stiff enough to tackle turns with a lot of confidence.

Next is the Whiteline front sway bar and then on to the brakes. My goal is to work on one part of the car at a time. Suspension, then brakes, then motor.

Funny because even with coils I still feel nosedive. I've been in so many cars with dedicated track suspension and there's still nosedive. Do explain because I'm confused.

Bumping this thread up. Just wanted to share my setup

07 Wagon
D Specs
Swift Wagon Springs
Enkei Raijins 18x8e45
Generals 225/40
Rear fenders rolled

Have struts dialed in 5 turns in all corners. Rides great, full soft was too bumpy for my taste(if that makes any sense). I'm pretty satisfied was the finished product. Kinda wish it was a little lower... but I think this setup is for good for my DD needs.

I need some help, whenever I hit a semi hard bump the car pulls left. But when it's flat road there's nothing and it's perfectly straight. Any ideas?

Just left the alignment shop. Front was all crazy but they got it back in spec. The rear camber was off too but they couldn't get it back into spec.

The pull after bumps is a lot less noticeable but is still just enough that of you pay attention it's there.

Have been away from the boards for a while, but I've gotten back into autocrossing a bit so I'll post my setup.

3-way KW coilovers, 18x8 BBS CK, 235/40/18 Star Specs, Rear Fenders rolled
Front: -2.7/-2.3 ( will get realigned)
Rear: -2ish both sides

Still trying to dial in setup as there's alot of adjustment to play around with!

Height, rebound, compression? Not real 3 way damping adjustment I'm guessing since I have clubsports too...

I was wondering, as I didn't think that KW had a 3 way damping setup- start getting into some real $ when you start looking at splitting up rebound and/or compression

Adjustments are: low-speed compression and high-speed compression (adjustable by turning seperate knobs on bottom of external resevoir), and rebound on the top of the mcpherson strut in the middle of the camber plates. Spring rates are 600lb/in front, 500 lb/in rear.

My KW's are prototypes of these: http://www.kw-suspensions.eu/int/kw_...s&EntryId=4409

I made a gentleman's agreement to not talk/post about them until they were released

I will take pictures next time I do a tire rotation or adjust the ride height.

2002 Impreza Outback Sport

Current Lift = +3.25" from factory
- Forester Struts (+1.25")
- Gorilla Strut Tower Spacers (+1")
- General Grabber 215/65/16 (+1")

Future Plans = +2" more
- Gorilla Coil Springs (+1")
- Drivetrain spacers (+1")
- Wheel Spacers (5mm)*

* I anticipate the wheel spacers will resolve the only rubbing issue I have right now. When I turn to lock (right) the driver side wheel rubs the subframe - same happens on the opposite side when I turn to lock, left.

i'm looking to run a similar wheel setup eventually, 18x8 Tarmac 3s, 245/40 tires (maybe 255/35.. maybe). i like a meatier look and don't mind a bit of wheel arch overhang. never liked the "hellaflush" look or whatever it's called.

how low are you dropped, and have you had any issues with rubbing even after having your fenders rolled? do you have any other pics? thanks.

I have a question on those people running coilovers on your wagons. I curerntly am running Suspension technique coilovers on my wagon with ComC front plates to add camber. Fronts I get about -1.5 camber and my rears i'm not running any camber bolts. The rears I get a +.5 which is weird. My alignment shop says it might've been in an accident and it hasn't at all to change that drastically. I was wondering if I get camber bolts in the rear how much camber would it add?
