It refers to using a device that bolts to the hub in place of the wheel that rolls along the inside of the fender lip and pushes it out to gain clearance for bigger/wider wheel and tires. This can also be accomplished by the much cruder method of using a baseball bat or pipe and doing the same thing using the tire as a fulcrum-NOT advised. If the combo you are looking into requires this be prepared to lose some performance from rolling resistance and weight, just my 2 cents.

I had to roll my fenders to make room for about 1" of drop and aftermarket lateral links with stock wheels. Lots of things can push the wheels out. -Matt |

I've always been curious as to what material is compressed/deformed/bent when you roll the fenders. Does it push the painted surface out or just the inner part of the fenders? How much clearance can this provide?

I was always looking for subaru specific info, and never found these. I guess a fender is a fender. Thanks for the links, but what is this thing you call "Google"?
