Default Nameless Axleback just arrived - should I be worrried?

EDIT: Nothing to worry about after all. I'm absolutely happy with the fitment and sound. Thanks for your input.

Should I be worried that they're not exactly symmetrical? Meaning, when I lay them down, one sits perfectly flat (both tips lay flat) while the other one kinda leans to the side... hope all this makes sense...

They also have the "nameless" plates welded to different spots of the exhaust where as in most pictures I've seen they're symmetrical and done perfectly; the two pipes of a quad exhaust mirror each other.

I just don't want to spent the time installing them if others may have experienced / seen this and know that I maybe received defective ones and should exchange...

I have a 2012 WRX - Quad Tip Non-Staggered Single Wall.

This image shows the "nameless" plates welded to different spots - not a big deal but still worth mentioning to see if others have seen the same before.

This image was supposed to show the left one raised up a lot higher... but it ended up just being my carpet in my other room... it's only slightly raised higher... ...my bad...

Thanks.

I think it's perfectly normal bro. Your new exhaust will hook up to your existing mid pipe. I strongly believe it isn't symmetrical. Only takes about 20 mins to do the axel back

If all 4 tips don't line up putting it on the car won't change a thing.

Sorry, pics just uploaded. I don't think they're imitation - I got them from RallySportDirect. I got it from them because they had free shipping - so was only $299 total exactly.

I'm probably just being paranoid and anal here.... which is not surprising because I am very much both of those things...

The stock Y-pipe isn't perfectly symmetrical. Quit worrying and just install it ( only takes about 20 mins. tops)

Rally now carries nameless. It's legit. Sounds like you're over thinking it. Throw it in!

For $299 you didn't pay for the right to complain.

i think $299 is a rip off for that, you can go to an exhaust shop and they will weld up the same thing for half the price.

You get what you pay for. No one would even notice that once its on the car. Just install them and be happy.

$299 for a few pieces of metal welded together is actually pretty ****ing expensive.

it is completely normal, and will cause no issues at all. as someone already said just install them and see for yourself, it takes 20 minutes to throw them on.

You go ahead and get a quote from an exhaust shop for mandrel bent stainless plus the labor. Report back.

Edit: Did you really need to agree with the guy who agreed with you?

We all make our own money and choose to spend it how we wish. It's immature to put others down for what they choose to spend their money on... just my opinion...

And no one is complaining here... especially now that I've installed them and hear how awesome they sound!!!

Pics coming soon...

I love how half of the people think it's a steal, and half think it's a rip off.

"One man's trash is another man's treasure."

Even if I thought someone paid too much, I wouldn't voice it because it's not my money. I would just be happy for them if they were happy with what they got. But, hey, that's just me.

Pic of it installed - I still need to align the left one properly:

I don't think anyone is giving you crap for spending your money as you see fit. What they may give you crap about is expecting a $300 part to have the same level of fit and finish as a $600+ part using the same materials and to be of the same level of quality.

I'm not saying what you have is no good and I'm not saying every expensive item better than the cheap ones but it is true more often than not that you get what you pay.

If you like the exhaust note of this piece I'd say you got a great deal @ $299 but to expect it to fit to exacting tolerances down to the micron is asking a lot for a $299 part.

EDIT: the fitment issue you where initially concerned about anyway where so minor that 99% of people on earf wouldn't have noticed one bit.
