Default STi swap wiring question

Swapping 04 STi wiring into an 02 wrx. What do I need to do to eliminate the check engine light for the missing fuel pressure sensor and diff temp sensor? can i just use resistors like on O2 sensors?

The fuel pressure is related to the evap system, which I believe is the same on both cars, I could be wrong though.

For the diff temp.. Did you use the entire 04 harness with the DCCD controller?

The STi has a separate fuel pressure sensor than the 02. I used the entire harness excess gas tank section. I don't have the DCCD controller, but i don't need it because i am using stock trans.

The reason I asked about the DCCD controller is because it's tied into the main ecu, and will probably go into "safe" mode if it sees a high temp in the trans or rear diff, which may be what's causing the temp code.

My rear diff does not have a temp sensor. My harness does, it will be expecting some sort of signal, that's what I am trying to get around.

You have the front harness, or the rear harness also?

I'm trying to remember where the rear diff sensor wire tied in (DCCD harness or main ecu harness).

Generally leaving it unplugged will mean "cold" and grounding it will be "max hot", but it could be backwards.

I think there are different codes for trans diff temp and rear diff temp.

I have a rear diff sensor somewhere. I could always ohm it out for you and just use a resistor on the harness.

I have the whole harness except the gas tank cord. So I have "front" and "rear". Does anyone know what spec resistor I should use for these sensors?

It would depend on the resistance of the sensor is at a "normal" temperature. Too cold, and it may act funny, and too hot it will throw the light.

Figure that one out, and you're in.

I can tell you the resistance of the rear diff sensor sitting on the table if that helps, and if I can find it.
