Default Are Megan Racing suspension braces for 08-14wrx any good?

I'm specifically talking about these 2 braces:

https://www.rallysportdirect.com/fit...racing-h-brace

https://www.rallysportdirect.com/fit...-lower-bar-red

They are very cheap compared to others, does anyone have any experience with these? I couldn't find much searching.

Also, I know there's been threads on this question, but they are relatively old, which braces are the best for stiffening/helping with suspension.

I've gotten just about all the bushings/struts/springs/sway bar/tires. So it seems braces are my last stop before I start thinking about power.

thanks

Megan has never been one known for quality or reliability. That said, these pieces, are not rocket science and probably be fine as is.

They may be made with recycled aluminum cans, painted with something containing mercury lead or ptfe, And welded by child laborers; But it would serve it's purpose.

The H brace is a nice upgrade. I could tell a difference after I installed it. I've done quite a number of bushing and suspension mods, and have looked into that rear cross brace but I didn't get it because I did rear subframe bushing inserts. That along with your rear sway bar will probably work harder than that brace would. Maybe it would help minimize strain on your rear subframe? But it isn't a very expensive piece. If you decide to install it, throw up a review. I'd be interested to know your impressions.

So I ended up getting and installing the Megan H-Brace and the Cusco Power Brace Rear Member Side.

I am very happy with the Cusco brace, it really seems to cement the back the of the car, it's hard to describe. It's not just less body roll but also more stability and plantedness, it does a great job. It's not a night and day difference but I'm happy with it and would recommend it after getting bushings etc/

The H-Brace is a different story, I noticed no real difference to handling and on top of that it's making these very loud popping noises when I'm going slow, I tried tightening the bolts a little, so if that makes a difference I'll update but as of now I'm planning on taking the H brace off if the noises don't go away.

This is typically your first clue.

All those popping nosies could be due to not being properly installed ( too loose so it's moving around ) or possibly starting to crack as the brace moves and shifts.

So the popping noise has disappeared, I don't believe that the H brace was making the noise, but it's possible I tightened the bolts, so that could have stopped the noise.

I also just installed Konis and springs and adjusted my endlinks, so it's difficult to pin point where the noise was coming from.
