Aww man I can't get out there to pull it as I'm out of state til next week. I visited with a Subi buddy while in Toronto and he told me the 2.2 ECU will work with the 3.3L as both motors are identical with the addition of 2 more cylinders. I going to track are 3.3 down instead as all the 2.2 parts I have will bolt on.

I wish I could get to a Canadian upickit. I really need to get rid of the automatic seatbelts and Canadiens are the only ones to get normal belts.

Here is some updates on the rebuild project.
- Engine is finally running right, no high idle and no hesitation. - Front end is about a 1/2 inch off on the driver's side (compared to almost 4 inches that is not bad). - New hood, fenders, and driver's side door installed and primered. - Deleted the AC system as I blew up the compressor and getting ready to swap a 3.3L in with a Saab 9000 radiator and front mounted fans. Things that need to be done: - Need to install the driver's side window on the tracks but I'm having a helluva time getting it lined up properly. After that, i will be putting the door back together. - Need new shocks and front axles soon. Axle boot is cracked on both sides and the shocks rattle going over small bumps. - Will be registering it over the weekend and putting basic liability insurance on it so I can take it where I need to go. - Whole car is going to be sanded and primered. Deleted the roof rack and need to fill the holes from it. Here are some pics: New front end: Door is straight and closes now: Interior is surprisingly clean: Moonroof standard, which I understand is a rare feature: 234k miles and still purrs: Black accented interior with upgraded sound system (too bad it's going): If anyone has any ideas about the front end, please let me know. I need to get the bumper back on and everything aligned fully so it can be roadworthy. |

Newest addition to the Prescott Subaru family. 1992 SVX XR. This thing is has a ton of aftermarket parts and a custom cat-back exhaust. |

Super awesome! I've always had a weird love for the SVX. What are your plans for it if any?! I heard you can swap a 5 speed in but it's just a pain. Last edited by SwagWagoneer; 06-24-2015 at 11:42 AM. |

Anyone know what kind of Radiator this is. It looks like a solid piece of aluminum and it's beefy as hell. |

Well I'm just going to delete that part of my post and now I feel dumb lol. I wonder where I got that in my head?! But anyways I like that idea of OE. I'm excited to see it restored! So that's a 3.3 right?

PWR is great. My friend used to race for them and I had one on my car in 2002.

I need to resolve a hesitation/stutter issue. It has a Spectre LS7 MAF and is new and it still stutters when cold. It runs super rich at idle when cold too. Front bushings need to be replaced. It rattles when I go over bumps. Couple things I found out though. It has a set of Ground Control WRX Coilovers retrofitted to it. I also need to raise up the coilovers as the car sits only 4 inches off the ground, but I don't have an adjustment tool. It's got slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads from R1 Concepts. The engine has a lightweight crank pulley and a K&N cone filter. |

I heard lightweight crank pulleys were bad for subarus... Or maybe it was lightweight flywheel... Maybe both I don't remember haha. Has anyone done an automatic to 5 speed swap? Depending on if the deal goes through I might be swapping my 96 legacy. I heard it's easy as all the holes for the clutch assembly, shifting linkage, etc are already cut they just need punched out. Would the 5spd cup have to be swapped in too or will it be fine when half its outputs aren't going anywhere?
