![]() Been thinking about upgrading my head unit, and having car play is a plus, but has anyone used the GD version? I don’t see any reviews, I found it on wrxdaily website and it seems very overpriced but that’s besides the point, anyone running one? Thoughts? Any issues?

![]() I am also interested in putting one in my 06. I have used one in a 2010 FXT and i loved it.
I wired in aftermarket steering wheel controls with a Metra Axxis and an 2008 STI steering wheel and I think the idoing would allow me to retain the controls, that but i am unsure and would love to know before purchasing. |

![]() Edit: I have confirmed the Seicane Unit for 02-07 had additional wiring for SWC. Also the 05-08 Forester idoing unit has the wiring too, the harness and pinouts (minus pin 14, which is just a diff wire color, but does the same thing as the wrx) had the additional wiring for SWC too. So im 99% this unit would also work.
_____ I'd also wager that the actual unit itself if probably almost identical to the ones offered for 08 + wrx/sti/forester. So based on that, it should work well. I just ordered one for my '13 Forester & am awaiting on a few replies to confirm any wiring on the 02-07 version that would allow me to retain SWC capability. Quote:
