Somewhat of a noob, although I recall my wife and I kicking around on here back when she owned her second WRX.
Got myself an '01 Outback a few years ago. The suspension was on its last legs and I was going around and around with incorrect parts. This enforced my habit of never leaving good enough alone.
All the rear links were built with DOM tubing and rebuildable heim joints from Rock Krawler and Rusty's. Front is currently being built with more Rock Krawler joints. 31" BFG KM2's and Bassett steels. 2" aluminum lift pucks of eBay.
What brought me back is that I've always know of this place for the down and dirty tech stuff. Having put larger tires on, I eventually need to figure out if and what parts to swap for better gearing. What's in it should all be OE to the VIN, but the guy I bought it from told me that it had gone through two engines and three transmissions (or close to that) and nearly everything underneath has a salvage yard paint marker dot on it.
I'll start poking around on here again to determine where to start. Assuming I need to up to a paid membership to post pics, I'll look into that so that I can share what I'm building.
Cheers!
