Default Need some Film ideas. help!

Alright, Well I am in my final production class at school. They are requiring 2 "films" a 2-3 minute film and a 5 minute film. Now the only medium I have worked in is the commercial medium, so this is a "big" jump for me as I deal with a lot more time and well, heh story.

So, since I am trying to wedge myself a niche in the Automotive TV/Film industry I want to make these films Automotive related. The stories can be Fiction or Documentary. I imagine docu-drama too

So i'm looking for realistic ideas. (i'm limited to 600 feet of film, so mabye only 20-30 minutes record time and that then also limits the amount of locations I can use).

My ideas:
Do a jab back at that SRT-4 video that was going around a year or so ago.

Partial idea of having a buncha guys playing GT4 and talking about the dope cars they got in the game, and one of them just smerks and says they gotta go. They go out to there EVO/STI/what have you... games=real life type thing.
*shrug* I need ideas. got any for me

You might want to aim for a commercial that can actually be aired on TV.

If you want to do a street racing vid. You might want to get Front involved and see if he can get a hold of the squad.

Dark street at night. Street lights reflect off the water on the pavement. Stoplight is red, a LGT is sitting at the light, a young man sporting tattoos on his arms is listening to the radio, (start music). A riced out car (insert SRT4 here) pulls up. A young kid is driving, pimp style seat back and one hand at 12oclock on the wheel. The kid looks over and snorts in derision. Kid revs his engine and nods at the LGT driver. LGT driver looks over at the SRT4 and smirks. Quick pan across LGT rearview mirror which has autodimmed in response to an approaching vehicle from behind, show LGT driver's eyes and a quick glimpse of the vehicle approaching from behind. Show cross street stoplight in puddle as it changes from green to yellow, pan across both vehicles, kid in SRT4 still reving his engine. Show light changing from red to green. LGT driver drives through the intersection without any drama. SRT4 sits at intersection spinning tires and finally get across. Pan and closeup on squad car which has pulled up behind SRT4 and lighting up the flashers.

Show cop walking over to stopped SRT4, cop looks at kid and says, "Looks like you lost!".

He didn't like that one.

How about this.
Cop is chasing a SRT4. Kid in SRT4 give the cop the raaz and we see close up of boost meter boosting to 100psi and the kid disappears from the cop. Close up of cop getting out of squad and throwing his hat into the dirt. Fade... Cop is putting a turbo in the squad, followed by a nitrous bottle in the trunk. Transition to flames comming out of squad tailpipe as he is chasing the SRT4 again. Kid gives the cop the raaz again and closeup of boostmeter hitting 100psi. Closeup of cop hitting the big "GO GO GO" button. Kid still leaves cop in dust. Fade to cop throwing turbo and NOS bottle in trash. Transition to cop eating donut, he watches as kid in SRT4 does a burnout in front of him, loses it and hits a tree. Cop with donut in mouth walks over and cuffs kid.

Fade out..

Black background with white letters.. KARMA IS A BITCH!!!

ROFL

Great ideas. I like the GT4 one, but i'd have 4 guys sitting around, playing GT4, one in an evo, one in a STi, one with a GC8, and one with say an SRT4. Then have them all go out (call it a night) and you've got an EVO, STi, GC, and SRT in the driveway.

Fade to black, say something funny about video games = real life

Then fade back in to the SRT starting his car, it not starting, and him asking for a ride home as the other 3 take off

"guys... guys... Hello?? damnit, not again"

Or have snow everywhere when they come out. and the same line from the SRT driver.

I like the ideas. Thanks guys. Keep em commin

Right now I am in the process of sorting threw a notebook of ideas. I need to also look at these projects with a very ruthless mind.
