2010 Legacy GT - EFI Logics Stage 1 Tune
Location: EFI Logics - Bethel, CT
Ambient Temp: 31* Elevation: 500 Car: 2010 Legacy GT Tuner: EFI Logics Dyno Info: Mustang Dyno 500SE Peak HP at RPM: 223whp SAE Peak Torque at RPM: 302wtq SAE Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: 214whp 214wtq SAE Target Boost: 17psi Target AFR: 11.3 Fuel: 93 Octane Engine/Power Modifications: STOCK Driveline Modifications: STOCK Suspension Modifications: BC Coil over suspension Other Modifications: N/A *Edit* - All Software issues are fixed, please read below first graphs. One thing to keep an eye out for, the coupler that goes from the intercooler to the throttle body failed. There is a factory rubber insert that popped during the calibration process. We removed the intercooler, removed the rubber insert, and put it back together - No issues since. *EDIT* With an updated version of software that has the definitions properly defined, we were able to get past every limitation we were hitting in the prior software. Being able to raise the boost and torque limitations, we were able to pick up another ~30ft/lbs of torque, horsepower generally stayed the same as boost was not able to hold past ~4800pm. We were able to pick up approximately 15whp between 2800rpm to 4500rpm. Final Stage 1 - 223whp 304ft/lbs EFI Stage 1 vs. Stock +63whp @ 4000rpm +107ft/lbs @ 3200rpm Some pictures of the new Turbo system on the 2010. Chris is a bad ass tuner.... we've noticed exactly the same issues here at surgeline.
Chris, Please see your email for a new program with torque control tables and new boost cut definitions. I'll send you my base files as well Regards Tim |

Thanks Tim,
I have the car until about 3pm EST, so another 1.5 hours.. If you can get that to me before then, it would be fantastic. I have also posted my findings in the Cobb ProTuner section on the Cobb Forums. Thanks, Chris |

This is sweet, definitely my next project, wish I could afford it now. Great work guys! Any more pics of the manifold and turbo would be great.

You might try seeing if anyone has all the definitions defined for romraider or ecuflash....
http://www.romraider.com/forum/forum8.html Some of the boost limit tables are in Absolute Pressure in romraider.....maybe try upping the limits to target+14.7 The header piping, intake piping to the intercooler and the exhaust piping look pretty big.....maybe its just the pics. What size is the stock exhaust? Last edited by Phatron; 02-27-2010 at 05:32 PM. |

The primaries are large, after the cat seems to be about 65mm, maybe bigger, where the exhaust really closes up is at the "Y" intersection, then it looks to be about 35-38mm. Thanks, Chris |

We have reached a finishing point with the Stage 1 tuning on this car. Thanks to Cobb Tuning and Tim Bailey @ Surgeline for getting us an updated software package that has the definitions needed to surpass the torque and boost limitations we were having.
Final Stage 1 - 223whp 304ft/lbs EFI Stage 1 vs. Stock +63whp @ 4000rpm +107ft/lbs @ 3200rpm Thanks, Chris |

How does this compare to the last gen LGT, both stock and Stage 1 tuned?
I've been very curious about the new turbo/manifold design, good to see some results. Thanks! |

Seems like a front mount for this car would have pretty short piping.
Also, looks like only a 15 minutes downpipe swap. (assuming you have one) Last edited by sutter2k; 03-04-2010 at 10:29 AM. |

Undetermined at this time. We have not removed the turbo from the car.

Cool. I'm sure getting around these limitations will only get harder in the future, but Cobb is on top of it. That looks like a lot more fun than stock.
