Re-positioned my JVC HU Bluetooth mic from the OEM reading light area to the top left corner of the windshield. People couldn't hear me for s*&t, so I hope the new location makes a difference.

Well today I went and got my wheels put on at Mach V they were awesome people to work with. Now while putting my wheels on or during the alignment process the tech noticed something and called me in the bay and was like you got "issues". He then goes to show me that were the clamp is on my exhaust that conects the mid-pipe to the Y-pipe has over time cut my left rear axle boot and there was gobs of grease all over the place under my car. I was like WTF FML, does Perrin not do RND. He said it was a very bad place to have a clamp. So the game plan now is to cut my exhaust and move the clamp portion to another area of the exhaust.
The good news is that the axle is still good and that there was a good amount to grease left in there. All I wanted to do today was finally get my wheels put on and now I'm looking at spending more money

And the bright side is that they told you and didn't keep you in the dark (like most shops) and thus causing more money out of your pocket for another axle! I've had good experiences with then too.

Yeah Im glad he told me about it for sure. The thing that sucks the most about it is that i just sold my civic that I could be driving until I got this fixed. I'll probably drive it to the meet Sat. and then park it for a minute. My buddy is in Afganyland and Im keeping his TSX, so Im going to let him know whats going on and see if he minds me driving his car a little more than I have been.

Yeah, I'm sure if he trusts you to drive it now that a day or two now won't matter. My friend does this all the time. It seems like his car is always breaking and he needs to borrow my Lexus. Heh. I almost wonder if it's a set up just to drive my car!? Lol.

I'm pretty sure he's not going to care, but its just one of those things I have to let him know about. I'm hoping to ge this taken care of real soon anyway. I wish I had gotten some pics while it was up on the lift, but I was so surprised that I didn't think about it. The first thing I thought was how much is this going to cost me and I need a smoke LOL. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow if I can

I told the wife as much as I love doing stuff my self to my car it almost pays to have someone else do it, just so they can catch something before it goes bad. Most likely when I get my header and DP I'm just going to pay Mach V to install. They're going to have to tune it anyway so why not. Sometimes it's just easier to pay for convenience!!

I agree. Most of our good friends don't care, but it's always good to check and confirm.

thats purdy whats wrong with your current splitter? not enough clearance?

i cut and crimped wires for my supertones install, and then it started POURING so i just had to stare at them. supertones give you an extra 10WHP right? or do i need to find a sticker?

The Zerosports splitter I have now was designed for 06-07 STI tmics, the opening is something like 12x6. The core of the new tmic is 20x10, waaaaay bigger than the opening on the splitter.

So I'm running no splitter right now, which I'm sure is about as efficient as shaving with a bowling pin.

On another note, my Zerosports 06-07 wrx/sti splitter is for sale, if anyone is interested shoot me a pm.

That ish is the jank!!! I could eat off my engine bay after a nice SB bath

Add to that a little engine bay dressing and you've got showroom quality cleanliness.

Can't go wrong with Mach V. Plus you're stimulating the economy and helping a small business at the same time!

Gave the car a great wash and scrub today...

Sanded the lights down and polished them up...

What polish are you guys using cause PlasticX just isn't bringing them back to clear. I've tried 3m stage 3 polish and stage 2 polish, and NuFinish... Still has a dull shine to them
