People are going to post here telling "check this check that" but in reality just pay 100 bucks for a local tech who knows Subarus to check it out (or any tech for that matter can find indicators for wear) People get f.ck'd over because they are too cheap to carfax and get a car inspected and end up losing 5 grand in repairs...

WOw, most people are looking for the un-modded ones because much of the modded ones have been done wrong. (BOV'S , CAI'S, or even good mods, but too many without EM) I'm in the same boat. I'm going to buy one, but I've been researching the market for a month and the modded one's im finding are nightmares. now maybe if you found one for sale by a good Nasioc member that would work, but you'll have to be patient. Just remember if it has mods, THEY'VE BEEN USED! so it's not like you'll be getting grandmas church car.

When buying a used car from a privet sealer always take it to a mechanic to take a closer look at it, their is no way people can just tell you what to look for unless you have some experience in modification and maintenance of automobiles. I would suggest not buying a Scooby that the only modification is a BOV.

But thatís just my

ugh buying a modded wrx gives me the willies. On the bright side goto the car for sale section on this forum. There are alot of modded WRX's for sale.

Things to look for would be finding out what mods they have and searching through here to make sure they are done properly. I wouldnt by a modded wrx with a BOV and intake (unless its for a FMIC) just because most likely the person didnt know what they were doing or didnt care about performance.

Also drive it before you buy it. If you feel uneasy about the way the car shifts or if it grinds I would avoid it...
