Default anyone use motul engine oil?

I've been used mobil 1 synthetic for 3 years but the dealer service guy recommend motul oil. I've never heard of the company and he is the person I can trust so I changed with motul engine oil.
somewhat reason, my car mileage was improved
I've never gone 29.5 MPG (highway with 80 miles average speed) and also improved about 30-40 miles per tank for city drive.

I need to change engine oil soon and whether I use motul again or go back to mobil 1.

I don't know much about cars so Can it be true that good engine oils can improve MPG?

by the way, my car is non-turbo.

It is true, most times, that the more you spend (wisely), the more you get. A better oil costs more, but will give you better lubrication, and thus better mileage. My mileage (which I track closely) went up by one mpg across the board when I went from 'castrol syntec' to Quaker State "Q". It costs more, but the oil comes out looking a lot cleaner when I change my oil (about every 5000 miles). Worth it IMHO. 'Course, I'm sure someone else out there had an engine blow up when using "Q", so take it for what it's worth. I also put in a quart of Lucas every oil change, and use Fram filters. If you're interested.

I'm not enthusiastic about Motul just because you can get everything it offers for less money, which I've found to be the case with essentially everything I've ever encountered in my life that's made in western Europe. That doesn't mean it's bad stuff, though. If you're happy with it, that's great!
