It's a fun party city. Tons of good music though, that's one major plus of boulder IMHO and I'm not even a huge fan of that city.

Downside... Living there is expensive

Hey everyone, I'm possibly moving into the Denver area for a job in Hudson. Just read through this thread (unlike most I see) and am excited that theres a Wednesday meet. Right now I live in Erie, PA and there isn't a Subaru club here, lame I know. Anyways, I'm hoping to be able to post up some pictures from my trip and would like to meet up with some of you guys after the move. I'll check out that awdpirates site once I get home and can use my computer

How is the weather on a day to day?
Do they salt the roads out there or just use sand?
How much does it snow in winter?
Is there snow on the ground ALL winter?

Now off the weather topic.

What are some good places to live? I would be looking for a Apartment.
Is there a Local Subie club?
!!!
I grew up in southern IA, about an hour from Kansas Cty. Compared to there, the weather in CO is amazing. Not much snow at all unless you live int he mountains. The snow melts in a few hours off the streets. They do use a lot of big sand on the roads. I drive 80 miles a day up and down the interstate and really need a new windshield ever year or two.

Default New CO Resident

What's up local CO members?! I'm a CA resident that's moving back to CO to finish my last year of school. I'll be at DU. My registration in CA is ending this month and I am moving this month as well. I am on a pro tune for a fully cat less setup on my 2004 wagon. I swap my down pipe every two years to pass CA emissions.

I've done some reading on CO's dmv website in regards to registering a vehicle and what is needed to pass emissions, but don't fully understand the wording when it comes to their tests. Could someone clue me in on what is needed to pass smog, as well as reg my car? I'm assuming just vin verification/insurance/proof of ownership when it comes to the legal side of things. Just unclear on the emissions laws.

Thanks so much for any help!

-Cheers,

Cameron

Asking this on awdpirates.net will get you a quicker answer as that is where most of the CO people hang out.

Anything you experienced in CA you will get here too. CO and CA have similar emissions standards.

I was under the impression a lot of counties here don't require emissions testing.

They don't, however if he's going to DU he will be living in a county that requires the sniffer test.

Gives you plenty of time to plan mods. We are an E85 community up here for the summer. Makes getting power easier. I will tell you rallyarmor mudflaps are very good to have here. Short shifter + bushings is a great upgrade. If you need help installing stuff I have a shop at my disposal on weekends

Oh my name is the same on AWDPIRATES. I see yours is too. Welcome!
