You have to use kartboy xl hangers or thats at least what the previous owner used. Then one day they all failed.... so I took my car to an exhaust shop and had them fabricate new ones.... $55 later my exhaust is all good !
Summary : Either kartboy xl hangers or get it custom hung from a local exhaust shop. |

Not a lot of space under our cars. I have 3" turbo back it's very close to diff. On the other hand the hangers do seem tight

Kartboy's longer hangars or goto an exhaust shop and have them extend the mounts. Don't bump this crap after a day for the same answers you already have.

First of all you guys misunderstood my entire post. And thanks for being jackasses nobody is being sppon fed I dont even know how that supposed apply here. All I was looking for is suggestions and experience of certain types of hangars that work. Seeing how this is supposed friendly forum, im not gettin that at all. Im trying to avoid torching my exhaust to bend it enough to get cleatance. Though im a subie newbie im not a newbie to cars ive been a factory bmw tech for years. So if anybody has any polite suggestions other than kartboys hangars that work and prevent sway frpm exhaust I will kindly take those suggestions thank you.

Use the searchbar man, I think the info you're missing is that there aren't any other options. For exhaust hangers you have stock rubber, Kartboy Standard length polyurethane, Kartboy XL (extra long) polyurethane, or you figure out a custom way to hang it (tie wire or wire hanger, plumbers tape, hanger kit from auto store etc...)
PS: You can ignore Uncle Scotty sometimes, he's real ornery to newbs who don't search. |

cupcake.....a bloody exhaust hanger is a bleeding exhaust hanger.....it is possible that they are different lengths and different materials...but it is as simple as it can get if you can not figure out how to use a ruler and your brain, you should likely get enroled in a special school where people like you gather and get instruction on how to do things like weaving baskets out of paper strips and painting with your fingers and you SAY you are some sort of 'tech'??? lord have mercy on us all....maybe you are the floor sweeper or the guy who mops the floor, because that seems to be all that you are capable of by your posting or maybe this is an april fools joke......yeah...maybe just a fools joke or maybe not this is the SIMPLEST OF THINGS it it takes you more than a minute or 2 to figure things like this out, you shouldnt be touching cars...even to drive them Last edited by Uncle Scotty; 03-31-2013 at 10:19 PM. |

Wow scotty ur an ass. Yeah I know to use a ruler, exhaust hangars are made of different materials and lenthgs if u seen my original post I knew I would need a longer hanger and maybe something firmer to keep it from hitting diff. But anyway none of the websites mention length of hangar just hole size and some say .75" longer than oem. That was reason for post is to see what hangars gave what clearance.seeing as they are multiple brands of hangars I wanted to know what to get instead if wasting my money on **** that wont work the I want. So scotty maybe you should take a class for aholes that cant seem understand what the context of a post is. So go bash the subie newbie somewhere else and let this thread die.

Hangars are cheap. Tom@Kartboy is an active member/vendor here and can assit you. Not having time or money is a personal problem. Do not take a torch to the car, if you are a Tech you'd know this.
