Tempted to get a gym membership and work out some, see if it will help all my joints feel better. I swear when I rode dirt bikes it kept my muscles feeling good. Now i feel like blah... Mainly my knee pain is all in my head... like i forget about it and run at work to catch a call, and then i think about it folding up like it did on the bicycle so I double think about how it feels and stop running. But hell knee surgery couldn't be that bad, can't be any worse than what my knees are now. I am getting a second opinion, and getting both knees checked out. who wants to put money on it that my knee that i just injured is in better shape than my good knee ... haha. So anyone wanna donate some parts or money to the wrx project so I can get it back on track...
I mean I know mcl and meniscus are two different animals but I had my meniscus partially removed and walked on it the next day. My dad has had 3 knee operations and is walking with crutches the next day. Knee operations are nowhere nearly as bad as they used to be. Heck. Look at sports. Torn acl or mcl was career ending before, now look and Adrian Pederson.

What parts did you need?

That looks so nice... Were the original end cap plastic or metal and just crimped on?

it was aluminum to begin with, but i had already moved the original inlet and welded on -20 AN fittings. The An 90 degree hose ends were really too big to fit so going to make hoses out of 304 stainless and use silicone connectors. So after cutting the AN fittings off, just wanted it to look cleaner and nicer.

Be careful welding that new top tank on that you dont get the header plate too hot. The tube/header joints are not welded but controlled area furnace brazed. Get them too hot and the joints will open up and you'll have some serious leaks you wont be able to fix. Also some manufacturers use epoxy on the bottom side, can't remember if mishimoto does...

I looked at it today, don't think I'll have any issues with it. its 16ga. so wont need much heat to get it to puddle. But i'll get it it pressure tested before I use it to be safe.

I have a diversion 180, at the time I didn't have a budget for the dynasty. But when I first got mine, it welded like ****, and tracked it down to the ground wire being loose, Nut on the main board was loose. but now its clicking and thumping, when you power it on, when you weld it sounds like its about to exploded, moaning and groaning, It was never like that, then it just started it. Its under warranty but everything checked out okay, but I told the service guy to try and weld on AC, and it would act up. He finally got it to act up and Miller sent the main board ( not sure what its called) but the noise is still there. I got it back, tried it on DC (stainless and the arc is going crazy ) like it did on AC before. So they said the noise i would have to deal with it... I told them they are crazy ( people at miller). I asked them how would I be able to sell it sounding like it does. But the service guy said he would swap the other board out, ( telling miller it checked bad) so we can just try that and see if that corrects the problem. I really want the new HTP that runs for $2500... I saw collin at toxicfab using it, looks to be in my price range and looks like a really nice welder. With all the different fab work I've ventured into with this car and other things the past year, I have a few tools I really want to purchase for my shop, and try and get my name out there and start doing work for others, something to actually put a little money in my pocket. I'd probably honestly sell my car to get the tools I desire.

Thats pretty ****y customer service from miller if they told you that you would "just have to deal with it". I would have told them thats fine, you can deal with court. See how fast they would have jumped to fix the situation then.

Thanks.. still not 100% in my hand... tig welding is still kinda off, like feeding wire isn't steady. Made a mess on some stainless on my downpipe... I hate to admit, but gonna fix it and move on. But yet on aluminum... its actually pretty decent on it now... Welded the entire radiator up with no issues. But I think just the machine acting right has my amperages that i was use to off, (i'm trying to weld too hot now) Im use to having the machine set high b/c it wasn't correct to begin with. Just gotta get use to it again. Also I've had some side work come in so haven't done much to the wrx.

That sucks but at least you are figuring it out! I wish I even knew how to weld, though I will be learning soon. I have things on my car and parts that need to be welded son that I can continue the build.

Well things aren't looking good for my day job.. The franchise that bought the bowling center that I work for pretty much told our manager that nothing would change, just we would be working for another company and everyone would be hired. Well we had to reapply today, went to the place where we was to fill out an application, and saw new faces filling out applications, so I asked how they knew about the jobs and they said craigslist. But pretty much was told they only have 1 full time mechanic at their other centers and that everyone would be only part time hrs. We have 3 Full time mechanics, me and my buddy have been there a yr and a half, and the other guy 8 yrs, but he was on salary so we did his job basically... maybe did 25hrs a week. Hes pretty much already guaranteed the job. We were all told about a month ago we were getting certified for the machines and that would be a 5 to 8k dollar pay increase over a yr. So I feel like we were all lied too and then finding the their add on craigslist , which states nothing about hiring at a bowling center. So tomorrow is technically my last day of being employed... So yea.... ?? What to do now?

Why would they make a Craigslist ad for a job when they already have multiple certified people that can take it without any bother...?
