Honestly out of all the Bartlett meets I've been to I've only played around once. I'm there to meet new people and talk with friends but if they want to play around in a parking lot and keep it off the streets I'm not going to stop them.
See the thing with that is the whole Taco Bell thing started off small, eventually people were posting public weekly meet ups on both here and AKMS. Eventually it turned into what you see today. Imagine Bartlett turning into the go-to for all these people that cause trouble with police on a frequent basis. There was an decent accident before at Taco Bell was there not? Now take into perspective the same thing happening at Bartlett. Considering that Tikatnu is constantly expanding, you can't look past it as a possibility. So people are on edge with what's going on there so often, as well as don't appreciate such public setups for it. It has really nothing to do with you, it's that other random that overcorrects, accelerates too much or locks up crashing right into something or someone getting hurt.

There are those in power out there that really don't care for motorsports and will take any chance they can to have a reason to say no. Random times here and there are less likely to draw attention than frequent visits. Taking the initiative to be the better group is what sets us apart and allows us to show we care/are respectful. Also as mentioned earlier it's not the same isolated spot it once was and considering it's Muldoon and they've dealt with break-ins before, they do have people watching the property on a near 24/7 basis. As Ralph mentioned there is a good standing relationship, the motorsport groups simply want to keep it this way because there aren't many other options. They've already lost spots to complaints they weren't even responsible for. So you can see why there has been frustrations revolving around it. Keep in mind no one is really criticizing anyone for having some fun because we're all guilty. Many of us would just like these weekly things moved to other locations so we don't jeopardize a good thing.

I am putting myself on the spot because I'm the one bringing this up but anyone I've talked to that's a frequent AutoX competitor has expressed concern over this matter. I'm just hoping people can be resonable and understand why others feel this way.

No hard feelings. Me and my friends will stay away from Bartlett from now on. Your reasons are valid and i would not want to ruin something good for everyone else. We simply will just find another spot.

An issue of where meets are held has been brought up. Both sides have expressed their opinions, and we have come to a resolution. Easy as that

No editing of posts, no banning, no hard feelings, no drama...

We headed into the right direction

No one should be going to meet at Bartlett anyway because it's secluded. I will not be going there in the summer. Who wants to take their nice car back into a parking lot surrounded by woods? Sorry, in the summer I want people to see my car, I want to see other cars too. I'm a car enthusiast, I want to minger with other people, meet new people, and share what I have done with my car. It's also a good 20 minutes away from where I live now, not burning gas to go there and stare at some woods and the place where I used to swim growing up.

The only reason we met at Bartlett was to drift in the snow because it was one of the few secluded areas to do that.

IMO The new WRX looks like a Lancer had babies with a BRZ, if anyone was keeping up on these things...
I like it!

No, I haven't read anything. I didn't even see it until Spring of last year. I didn't know it was something that's been worked on for a while. I would definitely like to see more affordable, RWD coupes. It makes summer a lot more fun to see all these clean, zippy little cars driving around. haha

Do you like having fold down rear seats?

Do you like to drive in the snow?

Then get the STI.
